Uninstalling Apps

I'm new here - a recent iPhone 4 convert to Windows Phone. I've been using iOS since the first version and finally reached a point where I was both tired of the app-centric experience as well as all the money I was spending on music. Then I discovered Zune and WP7, got an unlocked Dell Venue Pro and haven't looked back.

One question that's been nagging me - when uninstalling apps, do they leave any junk or random 'files' behind in the OS that will eventually slow the system performance down? This can happen in Windows on the PC - just wondering if I have to worry about that on the phone.

Thanks!

No junk at all, i've installed and uninstalled hundreds of apps since I got my phone way back in October and had not a single slow down prodwel2.

Glad you're enjoying your phone and welcome along to WPC. :)

That's what I was hoping to hear - even the iPhone would slow down after a few good months of use. It'll be so refreshing to just use the phone and not have to worry about those things.

all apps are sandboxed, they don't have access to system files and basically they occupy a limited space on the OS. That makes it much easier and cleaner to uninstall cleanly.
