Fist of all, the only reason to have an unlocked phone is to use it on another network. This will not change your update cycle at all.
If you want to check if the phone is unlocked then try different SIMs. If they work, your phone is unlocked.
This dialer code may work but not always to check for unlocked - ##7820#
To unlock your phone contact your carrier or use a third party.
Ok. Thanks. It's helpful.

Mine says it's locked too, however it is unlocked.
You do know you can only use 3G on one SIM at a time in a dual SIM phone???
It's not OS dependant but device dependant.Maybe on windows phone?? Because on other phones, it is possible to use 3G network on both Sims.
