Update 10166 not updating to 10240

They never disabled them. There was a problem with WU which caused build 10240 not to be offered to some people. This issue apparently fixes itself for most people after a couple of days.

Nice to know.
So I'll keep clicking on "search for updates" every 30 minutes :smile:

EDIT: Now the issue of not being able to update to 10240 has converted into a problem: the store is no longer working for builds previous to 10240! So I'll try the last resort: reinstalling 10162 from scratch and crossing fingers for it to "see" the update to 10240.

I finally wiped out the hard disk, installed back Windows 8.1 and upgraded to Windows 10. Not a terrible amount of work, but a tedious job...
