Update 2 and new firmware now officially available for Lumia 830

Not getting it yet on my UK EE locked 830 :-(

It arrived on my UK unlocked 830 2 or 3 days ago now.

My 830 ATT US version skips right over and downloaded the 10 TP, how do I delete it and not update, I don't want it to install that, been there done that. Has anyone figured this out short of a reset? This is so frustrating. I got my phone perfect finally.

for those on ATT-US, there is a way to install WP 8.1 Update 2 if you follow pankaj's post here. A number of people were able to upgrade. I was able to do this on my wife's L830 (RM-983).
PS: this will not give you the still missing firmware update to get full Denim.

I've had GDR2 installed on my unlocked 830 for a week now. It works well EXCEPT is has KILLED my battery-life. I got 18 hours regular use before the update but it's now 11:25 a.m. after lifting it off my QI charger (with 100% battery indicated) at 6am and I have 19% left and batter-saver has kicked in. This literally happened overnight from installing GDR2. I'm wondering if others have seen this issue??

This is the problem with the GDR2.. battery issues with my L1520 also..... Hardly 4-5hours of backup. You need to re-install the software using Lumia recovery tool.... Hope that makes your phone work fine

no issues on my L830 with gdr2 so far. same great battery life I had before.

I agree, battery is great for my 830, I can go the whole of the day with usually around 50% battery remaining, and I run my business using it, and some games when I need to re-focus!

Try a Soft Reset to see if that fixes your battery issue.

Two hours ago I have received Update 2 to my Lithuania CV Lumia 830 Instead of promised random reboot fix which is rolling out ATM worlwide Seems I've got more than just a small fix

My phone had been rebooting several times a day, but since Update 2 was installed a few weeks ago she's been stable, and I haven't seen (touch wood) any reboots.

In case you have the "windows insider" firmware version 8.10.15116.125 and want to upgrade to 8.10.15148.160, there is currently no such upgrade path. Therefore your device will not update automatically. You should either wait for the upgrade path to become available, or use the Lumia Software Recovery tool to revert back to GDR1 and then let the automatic update take you to 8.10.15148.160. I suggest waiting because the latest firmwares have also introduced a bug with choppy video (you may lose a few seconds of video every 1-2 minutes of recording, irrelevant if you are recording to phone memory or microSD).

I actually haven't had any random reboots since full Denim (without update 2) finally reached North American RM-985 variants.

There an update that specifically addresses the reboot issue I got it for my RM-985 last night, it's been released to all RM-985 and probably RM-984 too.

Yup, got it last night on my US CV RM-985 from the Microsoft Store. Mine appeared automatically, but did you manually check for an update?

Yeah I did but didn't get anything. Could be because I'm on Update 2. Regardless I'm not having any random reboots so I really don't care at this point

Update 2 isn't available universally yet. Canadian Variants don't have it ATT RM-983 variant doesn't have it...many variants don't have it. Where are you ?

Could be a staggered roll out, its available in India on the Indian ROM. Are you on the developer preview?
