Update can not be opened

I am trying to update my Lumia 925 to Windows Phone 8.1. The phone downloads the update and goes through the prepare to install step, only to give me the message "The update was downloaded but could not be opened". The error code is 80188309.

I tried a hard reset, rebooting, deleting temporary files and rebooting again, but I still get that message. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Try downloading a new keyboard by going into settings>keyboard and when it notifies you to install the keyboard allow it and wait until the phone reboots. After that, again check for updates and try installing it. I can't think of any other way.
