Just thought I would give a heads up that I still get an error when trying to watch videos in Netflix after updating to W10.

I was hoping whatever fixed the issue in the real denim update would have be included in the W10 builds.

I only have a 830, so I cannot test on other devices. I would imagine it works in W10 for phones it works on WP8.1.

While I'm at it, Lumia Camera 5 won't open either.

Kind of underwhelmed. This two items were my biggest reasons to take the update, get updates from MS, and cut out AT&T.

UPDATE: Uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling appears to make Netflix work.

Thanks for the info. Were you having auto-restart issues at all before updating to Windows 10? If so, are those continuing?

Its a driver issue, drivers are not shipped with the OS, they are packaged with the firmware. Therefore you need full denim to have the fix

Hmmm... I've never had any issues running Netflix on my RM-985. Worked with WP8.1 and still works with Windows 10.

Did your phone come with the full denim? Camera 5 and all? The issues are with the sort of half way denim. Microsoft has stated that with the newest version of Netflix (where you can choose your profile) that a Driver interferes with playback, and that they were working on the fix. Since the drivers are packaged with the firmware, It will be fixed with the full release of a full denim for the 830

Netflix is bizarre--I assume it's somehow Microsoft's fault, but Crunchyroll works fine on the phone.

I saw in another W10 thread someone say that Netflix worked for them. They didn't give ant steps to fix it or anything. It made me think.

I uninstalled Netflix, then did the power + vol up they have suggested before to reboot, reinstalled and bingo, it works.

Tried the exact same steps (the reset sequence is volume down + power, volume up + power is for screencaptures), but it didn't work for me. Guess I need to wait on the full Denim update.

I don't believe anyone who has an 830 that HAS NOT had the Denim update when they say NETFLIX works. MS says it's a driver issue & it won't work without that patch -which is in the DENIM update only ( so far)

All I can offer is the attached screenshots. The error I was getting in December, and a Netflix video playing today. I also included the About Us screen from my updated phone. I am using the Inside Fast option for Windows 10, but have only had the initial install. I was skeptical at first too, because opening Netflix was the first thing I did after the update and it still errored out (I didn't grab a screenshot of the error, I don't know if the error was the same). But, now it works.
