Update to 8.0.10322.71 ?

Hello. I had questions about how to get windows phone 8.1 on my HTC 8X. Yes, I researched everything that I need to know. I know that you need an appstudio account and Preview for Developers app. But when i installed the preview for developers app, it told me that my OS has to be 8.0.10322.74 or newer. The problem is I don't know how to get the update. When I go to my phone update settings it tolds me that I am up to date. I need help....

I have the same issue with a Lumia 620 on Koodoo Mobile Canada. They havent released amber or black upates for the 620 and so when I check under the phone updates setting it says that the phone is up to date. How do I get the OS updated to at least GDR2 (without amber) so that I can run the developer preview?

It won't allow you to enable it. It just says you need a newer version and only option is given is "Done"

You need the latest WP8 Build to be able to download Preview for Dev. At least GDR3. Damm your operator!

I don't think there is a way to get gdr3 update on my HTC 8x... are there any ?

There are several threads detailing the process to flash Nokia phones to different ROMs. I haven't read about HTC phones, but surely there must be a way to flash a different ROM onto your phone.

Lol it wouldn't be xda if there weren't risks being taken with expensive technology.

This is why windows phone = lumia, even if your carrier doesn't release the updates, you can easily flash other roms, nokia even gives you their oficial tool, nokia software recovery and nsu.

Dude your phone is carrier bounded, and in this case only nokia customer service can help.. Ask them to update your phone.. If not, I am assuming ur running on windows phone 7.5 mango, which cannot,be ugraded to amber, black or blue.. Sorry... No updates for u..
