Upgraded to 8.1 on my 1020. Now MANY webpages are way too big to display

Upgraded my Nokia Lumia 1020 to 8.1... I first noticed that when going to facebook it automatically defaulted to mobile site even though my settings are set to desktop version. Now I noticed that many webpages photos are huge like I pinch zoomed way in... but I cant zoom out? Anybody have the same issue or some advice for me?

Concerning Facebook; just scroll all the way down and select the option for "desktop".
For the webpages; did you try double-tapping on the text? That usually zooms in and out for me
