Upgrading from Lumia 635, which phone should I get?

As the title says, I am giving serious consideration to upgrading from my Lumia 635. The main reason is that 512 MB of memory is enough to use the phone with very few tasks, but as I got more used to the phone I started wanting to multitask more, and I get too many "Resuming..." screens due to lack of memory. This is particularly annoying when I need to switch from email to a few browser tabs, basically resuming almost all the time.

So I am looking for an upgrade, ideally with the following features:
- Budget: please give me options for 200?, 250?, and 300?.
- Battery must be removable.
- Battery life is important. I would like to get at least two days with normal usage. For comparison, the 635 gives me this (barely).
- Minimum 1 GB of RAM, 2 is better.
- Must have LTE.
- Screen size: minimum 4.5, maximum 5.0. No preference within these bounds.
- Would like to have a Dual SIM phone because I now have a work SIM card and I travel quite a lot.
- Would appreciate having a hardware upgrade, the SnapDragon 400 is quite old by now.

The natural choice seems to be the 640 Dual Sim LTE, which fits everything except that the hardware is the same, so I would be buying a phone with 2-year-old components. Did I miss some other choices? What would you recommend?

Thanks for your help!

Why don't you just wait a little bit longer and check out the L550 when it hits the shelves?

I just assumed that the SnapDragon 210 was worse than the 400. Upon checking the specs, it's worse in some respects (1.1 GHz vs. 1.7 GHZ), better in others (Quad-Core vs. Dual-Core). It's more current for sure but when I mentioned current hardware I was thinking of the 410 or more recent processors.

Thanks for the tip nevertheless! :) I would welcome further suggestions or confirmation that, with current knowledge, the 550 and 640 are the only options out there. Seems strange that I cannot get a lower-midrange phone like the 640 with more current hardware.

Have you looked at BLU win HD LTE? It has similar specs to Lumia 640 but also has snapdragon 410 and dual SIM support.

No offense; but the 400 is quad core and it is 1.2ghz. Thats the 400 in the 640. Don't know if the 410 is much of an upgrade over the 400, the 210 is not for sure. The BLU is a possibility, but I don't know of anyone that has one to compare. For what a 640 cost its hard to beat, better memory, better battery, better front camera etc. Worth the move to me. I bought one to replace my 820 and have not regretted it one bit. Battery lasts over two days with ease, and then some.

I upgraded someone from a L635 to a L640. The 1GB of RAM does wonders for performance. It has a decent camera, better battery, and better resolution. Not to mention in the US it is cheap.

The only two I know of as well is the blu and the 640. Hopefully somewhat soon we shall see decent mid range phone.
