USB Charge cable

I recall the Surface 3 required a specific gauge of USB cable in addition to a 13 Watt adapter but I can't find that info anywhere. I'm somewhat hindered in that 1.5 billion hits on "Surface Pro 3" come back instead.

what I know about the charger is that the rated output current is 2.5A at 5V. So technically, any USB cable that was already supplying that amount of current can work - check USB chargers that had fast charging
