Well, I guess I should say that the 200GB Sandisk isn't the fastest card around, and that although still slow in the inbuilt card reader, it takes about 25-30 percent of the time to transfer files to it this way than it does if I in-effect use the 950 as a card reader. I can live with the speeds of the inbuilt card reader of the computer, because it is not that often I have to transfer 160 gigs of files at one time. However, waiting hours to transfer, say, 20 gigs means that it is not feasible to do it with the phone attached. Instead, plugging the card in means it will not only be faster but that I don't have to deal with having the phone attached.
I am now at a point where I don't transfer too many large files/lots of files all the time, but it would be nice if the cabled transfer was a bit faster so I didn't have to go in and "remove" the storage in the settings, then remove the case, and then the back in order to get the SD card out, and then all of it in reverse. I have sometimes instead used a USB stick to dump movies for my daughter on, connect that to the phone and then set it to copy its files by itself. It seems faster this way than tethering it to the computer.
Edit: @mccoy: I now realise you say that it doesn't matter if it's the card or the internal memory - that the lack of speed is present in both cases. I somehow misread what you were saying.
