Using the IKEA wireless charging lamp

I was in need of a desk lamp on my home computer workstation and I remembered the announcement a while back that IKEA was going to sell a line of Qi compatible wireless charging furniture. I chose the $79 Riggad lamp. Yes, there a cheaper lamps and wireless chargers out there, but I like the style of this IKEA piece, the light is LED, the overall unit is heavy and stable, the wireless charger is surrounded by a nice birch wood, and it has a full size USB port as well and can charge a device via USB while it also charges wirelessly. It is nice device and fills a few needs in an elegant way. Here is how it looks.
