Using windows phone app to sync music

Whenever I try to delete music, via Windows Phone app for desktop (with iTunes), I always get an error that the music can't be found. It is so frustrating.

Are any of the songs DRM protected?

No, I'm trying to delete a playlist from the phone. So the songs are on the phone already.
