Verizon has no intention of releasing WP 8.1

Last week when I got my icon there was a windows rep at the Verizon store saying the 8.1 would be out for Verizon in mid October that being said I did believe him nor did I want to wait so I went the dev route

Verizon is a totally worthless company. I deal with them at both a business and home user level, and it's always painful. I'm always amazed that such a dysfunctional company can thrive as they do, but I guess that says more about the business environment than them. You're best bet is to just stay away if at all possible.

As much as I agree with you, it comes down to coverage. I had Sprint for a while but I soon realized that a cell phone with out decent coverage is worthless. Everywhere I went, my phone was in roaming mode, which limited me to phone calls only. I don't like Verizon, but until someone else steps up coverage wise, I'm stuck with them.
