Viber big battery drain after 8.1?

Hello everyone

I just wanna ask anyone with 8.1 who is using Viber? Are you experiencing big battery drain? After I updated to 8.1 (even after the latest update). Viber drains like 25-30% battery per hour of usage. That really sucks ! I must charge my phone everyday, sometimes even twice. I am using Lumia 925.

Before I charged him once for 2 days. Yes I disabled many apps running on background and other things.

I am currently using this app mostly on my phone and the drain is so huge.

I did a hard reset on my phone and it somehow fixed a problem I had with battery drain even after I added the latest update... I guess that's some kind of solution for you if everything else fails

Yeah... I too have big battery drain when using Viber on 8.1.
I think most chatting apps have the same issue on WP. I have the same issue with Whatsapp too.

Do you receive notifications in Viber?
Since I have 8.1 I don't receive notifications from Viber. Line & WA works fine

Yes I do. But sometimes (not too often) I dont. So they are not 100% trustworthy. I often and go check manually If I dont got any message.

I also noticed that notifications are more reliable with wi-fi. When I use data-plan I dont got them sometimes, fb messenger too.

i am using windows 8 still and i have lumia 1520 .. i am living the same problem also.. 1 hour viber talk taking 35% battery .. I cant understand .. I hope this issue will be solved.. Viber is important

I found out myself. Viber did drained my battery.
