Vibrate?

Hi everyone, I've just created an account on here to ask one question (and It may be a dumb one) but I can't work out how to get my Lumia 710 to vibrate when I get a text message? weather its on silent, normal whatever It just won't happen, it does however vibrate and notify me when I get a facebook notification? Is this an OS limitation or is there something I'm missing?! Thankyou!

Under 'Ringtones + Sounds' make sure the vibrate toggle is switched on. I don't really know what else to suggest if it's on (apart from sending it back as faulty).

Yeah I did that as soon as I got the phone, and I was afraid sending it back would be recommended, thanks anyway!
