Messaging not working at all.. Not receiving any messages in my 830! No other major problem at all..

Because I'm on pay as you go plan I can tell when someone sends message but it doesn't show up when I launch Messaging app. I have to restart phone for new messages to show each time.

Cant setup my gmail accounts in outlook app freezes at the accept or cancel screen its the same way on L640xl and my L1520

Had the same issue, but got over it by pressing on my email on top of the page (where is your email is) and then "accept" worked.

plz help me to enable cortana..tell me the steps

I had to change my text size in the accessibility section to the smallest size to see the full screen to enable Cortana as was suggested to me. Then use the search button. It will show automatically then use enable OR continue I forgot which it was. From there you can use the hamburger menu to enter the notebook Settings to set your preferences.

Not able to add Microsoft account. Showing just a moment window for long time. Not able to open OneDrive app without Microsoft account added to my phone. Lumia 720..

@armfighter...in cellar +sim double tap your network. It should bring up the menu called properties. Click that. Scroll down to add an internet apn. Put your network settings in and save. Make that the default. This may also work with mms. Haven't tried.

Google accounts - in outlook mail I've set up 2 Gmail accounts.
When I get to the "allow windows to" I clicked on any of the options you will allow. A message comes up. I clicked ok and kept pressing "accept" til I got "creating account."

I remember reading something about what is broke in this update and the article says if you add a Google account you may have problems and especially with messages.

You can find the settings for cortana in the Notebook section of cortana. Had to search the whole morning to find it

how to enable cortana?

No glance screen.
Did a factory reset. Suggestions?

Yep. Removing my Gmail account got messages working. Hope they fix this issue soon. Thanks for letting me know!

blank options bug is only while using white theme, switch it to the black and it should help.
Glance screen was also missing on my L720, but after hard reset I've waited for Lumia to settle down a bit (just in case..about 1 hour) and glance appeared.

I sped up my lumia 520 quite a bit by removing background image and transparency tiles. With the new closer tiles and variety of colours it actually looks really nice.

830 updated and restored from 8.1, let it sit overnight and everything working well, even Glance settings and own custom backgrounds work. Using as my daily.

Just got a 1520 for 4k video reviews.

Installed 10149 and went to check Lumia camera, set to 4k and video recording won't work. Let it sit for hours, uninstalled app, reinstalled. Tried from both stores. Hard reset and let it sit as the 830 and still won't work.

On top of that, Glance Screen Background Beta will allow me to search my photos app roll, but when I select any photo, it doesn't go into the edit mode, just crashes to the home screen with stock photos. Extras & Info is broken too and won't update.

Deal breaker. Had to go back to 8.1 on the 1520.

For those recommending to stop the auto updates, it doesn't matter. You don't need to do all that. The phone will auto update everything if you leave it alone long enough as experienced above with my 830.


Strange how all is well on the 830, but the beastly 1520 can't get it right. Oh well, I wasn't planning on using the 1520 as a daily carry. Still too honking huge. It'll just have to leave it sitting at home as a video camera.

Build 10149.
Flashlight works in Lumia 1020. and for some reason after a while every freakin' time my wifi toggle lits up. Battery saver working shows time to charge and time left for complete charge although apps usage area is totally empty (even after using since yesterday) and battery drains faster than 8.1 cyan/denim. Store beta occasionally crashes. My keyboard keeps changing between US and UK idk why!
Glance background works but adding custom background doesn't.

Custom Background --needs a hard reset

is your shutter open even after switching off flashlite
