Came across a solution that actually worked from the Microsoft forums.
If your Windows 10 Mobile phone is not being detected by your PC, no matter what cable you use, number of resets, soft resets, hard resets, etc.... this simply procedure should fix it:
[INFO]Press and hold the volume up button while connecting your phone to your PC via USB cable.[/INFO]
A certain user from the forums observed that a Store personnel did just that and his phone was magically detected by the PC once again. Tried this and it actually worked.
