Every time I use the Mi Note 2, I'm so impressed by how well it has aged. It makes me wish I had gotten one of the 2017 models. I really liked the Mi Mix 2, but wished it had a better camera that would have justified the purchase for me. Still feel the OG Mi 5 is criminally underrated.

Every time I use the Mi Note 2, I'm so impressed by how well it has aged. It makes me wish I had gotten one of the 2017 models. I really liked the Mi Mix 2, but wished it had a better camera that would have justified the purchase for me. Still feel the OG Mi 5 is criminally underrated.

The Mi Note 2 is now running on the January security patch, which is really nice. I suppose my only software complaint is the OS is 7.0, but I suspect you'll see it be a MIUI 10 + 8.x approach for this phone.

Solid, solid stuff indeed. Curious though to see what happens for Xiaomi in 2018.

I've got mixed feelings about this 18:9 aspect ratio shift. Do I like more screen in more a compact body? Yes, it's nice. But outside of more screen, I'm not sure it adds more.

My feelings are pretty stable - I hate the 2:1 AR with a passion.

I'm not fond of taller but narrower phones.
