A bit of news so today I start a new position at a company today. Really excited about this. The reason I'm not working at my last place is becuse they let mego becuse they couldn't afford me aka they weren't making money. So here I am now

Sounds like you got into a large company which is both good and bad sometimes.

Be sure to keep in mind what's important to you and don't get sucked into being stagnant. It's very easy to get into that situation when the company is big and the pay is good.

I'm curious to know which considering it is.

Thank you. I felt very lucky and it still seems unreal, considering how long it takes me to warm up to someone in general. I'm still shocked that it just worked that way...

You have a good point, we will see. I wouldn't mind going out with him again but that's in his hands.

Well I'm not that good with bonding either, and am rather picky, but I instantly 'clicked' with my GF. And we've been together now for over 8 months.

Ah, those English soccer hooligans...haven't one it since 1966, tied for their best finish since then (4th place in 1990).

And somehow people are surprised at their behavior - why?

Well you'd think they can do better, they practicaly invented the sport. Shame.

I was actually hoping Croatia to win since they played so well In attacking and recuperating the ball. Sure France won since they actually made it to the net but I think Croatia played better than France

Croatia was a lot better, I may be a little biased, but they made more chance, ran alot more, and had way more shots on target and corners. That free kick was never a foul, never, and they were just unlucky with Mandžukić's own goal (even though there were two balls on the pitch).

But still, 2nd place for a small country like Croatia, that's hell of a success.

Exactly. He doesn't lie, just uses alternative facts and Trumpisms. He's got a a massive political ******** for authoritarian regimes because it reminds of his business where he gets to run it as he sees fits.

He still hasn't accepted the idea that you cannot run the US government the same way he ran his business. That's not stopping him from trying though...

I was rooting for Croatia!!
Mind I also think France deserve the Cup, because they scored more goals. That's the only criteria that mattered.
As for England, I love their club league but the national team has always been overhyped & over rated. They won absolutely zilch since '66. They reached the semis with equal amount of sweat and luck.

Short update. There's a little bit of running around within SoCal this week. One event in Redlands on Thursday and one in Norwalk on Saturday. After that things should return to normal. However, looks like week of July 30 there might be a Costa Rica trip firming up.

And when I return technically summer vacation might be just getting over.
This year June/July has been a blur.

So the other, day I was driving around town with the GF, and as usual, we got ourselves into conversation, that led to me paying less attention to the road. Seconds after, there was a radar, there was a patrol, and I was driving above the speed limit. How much? I've got no clue, but I just hope it wasn't 20+ over, since that's a pretty nice fine and a month without a driving's licence.
