WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Thanks. I'm probably going to get it!
Saw that coming from a mile away.

You know the drill - mini-review. Hope you get the Kevlar model. I missed that from my Moto Maxx (Droid Turbo for you US VZW consumers).

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Ouch, worse is noticeable. The Nokia 8 is probably an interesting phone to try. You have great willpower! I understand the long want though.
It's a pretty boring phone, to be honest. I like the screen, monochrome sensor, 3.5mm and SD slot on it.

I'd do one for $250, but cannot find it at that price. I'm mostly curious to see how the Pro camera app has helped. Heard the cameras are so-so on it.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Thank you, I aim to.
You're right (on all counts). I'm seeing that and it's still shocking to me. I can't get over the level of shock and that I feel this way. It's like my world has been turned upside down. We have the same birth month and that will be interesting for sure...
You'll.be.fine.

You'll.find.your.way.

That's all. Enjoy the journey and the destination if you're able to end up where you want to be.

$0 = best willpower ever.
Yeah, I keep telling myself that I’m done spending money. Especially on frivolous things; I had to stop myself yesterday, almost pulled the trigger on a set of lowering springs for the new Challenger R/T. Jeez, I’ve only had the car for like 3 weeks... (but, but I neeeeeed them!) <— that’s the little voice in my head, the same one that’s telling me that I “need” a new CPU, M/B & RAM to be able to unleash the full potential of this new GPU that arrived yesterday! (I can’t argue with the voice on this one haha)

EVGA (Love this brand!) GTX 1070ti FTW2 edition on the left, and my trusty old GTX 970 SSC on the right.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Right now, I’ve got it plugged into a “newly acquired” build that I purchased from a buddy over on my automotive forums. I’ve bought a bunch of stuff from this guy in the past. Always a great deal! If any of you guys are looking for PC parts, he’s usually got stuff for sale at wholesale prices.

This build consists of:

• AMD FX-8320e Black Edition
• Asus 970 Gaming/Aura Pro motherboard
• CoolerMaster EVO 212 cooler
• 16GB Corsair Ballistix DDR3 RAM
• 240 GB Seagate SSD
• Windows 10 Pro installed

All of the above for $200 - can’t beat it!

If only I had room for a desktop ..

Right now it's the laptop. Probably will never get another desktop but I will have a desk and a monitor. I just don't need that kind of power anymore.

Though there are days when it's handy...

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Weird weather day today. Rain downpours with sunny breaks in between...

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

That's weird? I thought it was like that everywhere. Life in the Tropics.
The rain was welcomed as it's been really dry here. I'd gotten used to the idea of bad storms but yesterday was just downpours and sunny breaks.

We're not tropics here and the times I've visited Florida I remember the weather there.

When I lived in the tropics they were going through a dry period (it flooded after I left) so didn't have much rain. In the subtropics the storms can be really bad but typically in summer.

We get Atlantic storms here. We're about an hour in a straight line to the ocean.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Sweet Jesus, I couldn't imagine being landlocked like that.
Ok.... France isn't Florida it's a bit bigger.

I've lived right on the beach in a penthouse on the Gold Coast of Australia.

Where I currently live I'm 3 1/2hr to the Pyerenese mountains. Same to the Mediterranean.

So not so bad.

Sorry if my sarcasm meter is off.

Oh forget Florida. I can't imagine living anywhere but a coastal town wherever it is.

We are about just under an hour to the Pacific Ocean as well.

Sweet Jesus, I couldn't imagine being landlocked like that.

I lived 8 years in Flagstaff, AZ. Talk about being landlocked :-)
It's nice to go to the beach here in CA.
Beach is 55 minutes one-way regardless of Santa Monica (closer but traffic is garbage) or Ventura (farther but no traffic).

If I have to factor traffic in, I might as well live in Kansas City. You ain't gettin' nowhere in under an hour here.
