Damir Franc made a comment in a Livestream last week that I do agree with 100: most OEMs didn't put good headphone jack on their phones.

Outside of LG, really. No one has done that well. Xiaomi as a #2 , Samsung/HTC/Sony/the occasional OnePlus/ ZTE Axon 7. Otherwise, since Apple devalued the 3.5mm, most others have.

So while I don't have THAT much of an issue of no 3.5mm, my issue is that USB-C wired is slow coming. Seems like sound makers are going more for wireless. That saddens me.

Oh, you betcha.
I have been browsing some devices for a bit now.
But first I need to trim my T-Mobile bill and streamline the plan before doing anything device wise.

I've been browsing for months to massage the new phone itch, even though I have $0 available to buy anything right now.

The only reason I ended up with the Mix 2 was a trade.

So I finally managed to get rid of every extra gadget I had.
Idol 4S - gone.
All tablets that ended up with me in August - gone.
All devices - including iPhone X, Chinese devices galore, extra Androids left over from trying to help friends who backed out of deals - gone.

I am down to the daily driver Panda Pixel 2XL and my trusty Huawei MediaPad M3.

Not too overtly excited about anything currently. I wouldn't mind trying out the LG G7 or the new Pixel 3.

Conversely, I still have 4. Unsurprisingly, the collector's phone's - HTC 10, 950XL - don't get used. If I can add 1-2 to replace the Mix 2 and Pixel 2, they'll go in the box and not get used. I suppose for me there is a difference in having too many devices to use constantly as opposed to having some show pieces.

I think over the holidays I'll repair the HTC 10. Was going to go with the Camilla Red but I think I will pair the OG Huawei watch to it and just get a silver housing again.

Haha, it has. The connection is legit.

I'm just waiting for the comment that'll cause jaws to drop around here if this connection stays legit - homeboy getting to apply lotion on bare shoulders.

Today was a kick in the teeth at work. Made feel like the holiday weekend is as distant a memory as the days when US Presidents acted... Presidential...

Feels like such a sawmill. If it were just the patient challenges, that'd be manageable - but worker morale isn't great.

Much is to be figured out still...

I'd like to try a Nokia 8 still. As much as I like the Pixel, it still has given me some radio issues. Not as bad as Andy's phone, but worse than the Mix 2 by far.

You're right (on all counts). I'm seeing that and it's still shocking to me. I can't get over the level of shock and that I feel this way. It's like my world has been turned upside down. We have the same birth month and that will be interesting for sure...

Ouch, worse is noticeable. The Nokia 8 is probably an interesting phone to try. You have great willpower! I understand the long want though.

So I somehow broke the home button on my iPhone 7 Plus... Like 3 or 4 weeks ago! Yes, I have all these phones insured, but threw it up on my dresser and grabbed my previous iPhone 6S plus and have been using it since. Thing is, I haven’t even noticed any difference (with the exception of the lesser camera!). So I’m in no hurry to pay that $120 deductible or whatever it may be, to replace the broken 7 plus.

I’m so over this phone thing! I could probably pop the SIM card in my old Nokia 1520 and be just fine! Shoot, I might see if I can find a good condition 1020 for the amazing camera and rock that! What do you guys think?

The old FX-8320e is going to be a massive bottleneck for the GTX1070ti without a doubt...

You probably could but you'll more than likely miss most of the apps you use.
