WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Initial impressions with the device:

I covered it here thoroughly. The only thing I'll say is I love that mint green color in person. The pictures were good and it's dead on in person. Last green I like this much since that emerald green Galaxy S6. 99 and I are sticklers so this device is a 7/10 with our scales. Only blemishes are: one scratch near the FPS and three scuffs at the bottom near the USB port. Screen and accesories are mint. It's the international (likely dual SIM) model, so I think it's the 6GB RAM model.

Waiting to get 9.0 first before transitioning to it.

The mint green is beautiful. That sounds like a plan, looking forward to the continued updates.

Dimensions are similar to the Mix 2: just a little taller and a little narrower. It feels like...a Nokia 920!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Nokia 920 was a chunky monkey...
It was! Still loved it though as it felt so well built. I think what both the XZ2 and the 920 have in common is that well built feel. XZ2 feels like the weight is nicely distributed though.

The new case makes it easier to reach the FPS; still not a fan of the placement. I like the always on display. I still prefer the Mi Mix 2's panel though...the blacks look better, the Sony screen looks more "natural" overall. Both are LCDs.

A gorgeous sunset today.
Progressively it got better by the minute.

Ooh this is very interesting Who would have thought?
This was in the works for years, at least in Europe. I'm glad they did...that doesn't mean lighting cable is completely dead though.

As I don't follow anything Apple, does the iPhone still use lightning?

If the iPhone goes USB-C then lightning will be dead,

All they would need then is their Bluetooth standards to match. Unless I missed that as well...

Would be nice to live in a world where external accessoires are generally universal.

Not that I have plans to buy anything. Just stating.

Last time I left it, Apple still uses lightning. Libra is renting an 10R, so she can confirm. I think eventually the iPhone will go to USB-C. I do agree that it would be nice if everyone used the same standard.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So far...the new wireless headphones have been a hit. Headphones themselves have a clean sound, are comfortable to wear, and battery life seems serviceable. I can see why people who casually listen music are ambivalent about the headphone jack.

Of course that's utter bull**** to me, as I like to hear the full range of my music as originally crafted by the artistes. Only wires currently offer that.

The new iPad Pros are going USB-C but the iPhones are still Lighting.

You sound like me defending vinyl over digital. Only vinyl gives you the depth of sound you experience live.

Sounds like they might be workable for you, at least. Are they fine with your commute or you use them otherwise? You have me curious about them if I decide to keep this Xr.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I'll admit, the Xr's battery life is nice (so far). It's nice to shelf the battery anxiety. At the same time, the X would be a little easier to carry around.

Another day in Paradise.

I think I take this SW thing a little too seriously and may care too much. Need a drink.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Bit the bullet today. Traded my X for the XS Max. Wow, what a phone.
