Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!
Happy New Year everyone!
Hope you have a great day today.

Until it's released it's all up in the air though. So I'm watching the Nokia 9 news and having a feeling that it'll be like the 8 Sirocco. I really hope they do expandable storage as companies are getting lazy with the 128GB fixed storage and nosebleed pricing.
I'm not so much worried about the look of the camera. On the one hand, being an Android One program means HMD can talk about two years of OS updates and three year's worth security patches. On the other hand, it would have been more ballsy of them to do a 3+3 by keeping a small portfolio and offering the updates themselves. Outside of Essential (which offered crazy support for one phone for 18 months so far), no one is keeping pace with Pixels in terms of software updates.Until it's released it's all up in the air though.
Still don't think I'd buy it anyway. Especially if it has that weird camera...
Good luck with the living situation. Hopefully it all works out for you.Ok... So... I mentioned weren't planning to live in Versailles... Well we are for the first month. We were able to negotiate a good price on a nice place. We're still waiting to hear back about the house which we won't move into until March. That's if we get the place.
We just found out you can get a year pass for the palace and gardens, etc for 80 Euros for two people. That's pretty amazing.
Also the gardens are free from November to March. Looks like I'll be doing a lot of walking!
9 days until the move...
Yeah, I miss mine as well. Especially when I got it to dual boot Android ICS and WebOS. I really liked WebOS. SMH.Fired up the Touchpad for auld lang syne. Amazing this thing still works and fetches my email.
Awesome! Good luck with the move and enjoy Versailles.Ok... So... I mentioned weren't planning to live in Versailles... Well we are for the first month. Nokia/HMD have the same problem that Sony has. They're just stuck in their ways.I'm not so much worried about the look of the camera. While it's nice to see the things they've done, you're looking at a company that for three OS (Symbian, WP, and Android) have done the strategy of having a phone at every price point. If it didn't work the first two times, why is it going to work now?
Congratulations. Hope it is a good fit for you and your commute is manageable. So just received an email. It appears we got the house!. The email is worded funny so we're confirming things but it looks like it's ours.
So that's a relief.
We don't get it until the beginning of March though.
Just need to sort out everything in between. Crazy times.
I'm thinking of getting small car to drive to work from the house. Thinking of a Smart car, reasonably cheap to buy and run. Won't need that until March though. I can get a bus to work from Versailles.
The people we're renting the house from told us it's better to drive into Paris than take the train. Not sure about that...
Thanks. The commute will be fine.Congratulations. Hope it is a good fit for you and your commute is manageable.
Thanks. The commute will be fine.
It suits us because of our cat. She likes having space and has gotten used to being outdoors on her own terms.
The house we're rent has a quarter acre so should be fine.
There are a lot of people on edge here in NYC. One has to keep a sharp eye out for EDPs (emotionally disturbed person). It's such a fine line between an EDP and a regular angry person.
