WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So no Mate 10. The price I saw was right, but I was outbid. Guess the universe had other plans as I was able to address some emergency food insecurities of a client today from those Mate 10 dollars.

I'll keep my ears open...maybe I should just get a Mate RS after all. Lol.

#6weekstotheflip.

Just ordered a work line for the iPhone. So looks like it will stay put. Put a screen protector and case on it. It’s just a bit bulky after using all the slim devices in the last couple of years.

Good luck with that. If I have my way, my time with ios for work will wind down soon enough.

If this is accurate, is there a way I can get a legal license to sell why HMD Global is smoking?

Do you mean the price of the device or the device itself?

At least it's under the 1000 mark... It it were to sell in the USA it would be about the same price or less. Taxes in the EU make products more expensive.

Typically product prices in the EU include taxes. Though some places like France can show both before and after tax prices in advertising, which I find deceptive.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So I'm going to say some sad news.

My aunt passed away just before New Year's Day.

She was 73.

We weren't that close and she was always a bit odd.

My mother had been looking after her and had been since my grand parents passed away many years ago.

The good thing is that my mother is now free of that burden. The bad is that she no longer has any immediate family aside from her children. My aunt was her only sister.

The one strangely odd but good thing my aunt has done is to reduce the stress of her passing by not wanting a funeral. Funerals are for the living not the dead of course.

So in a way she has made my mother's life more simple. Which I'm grateful for.

My mother and her partner will be visiting us this year and it will be nice to know she can do that without any home stress. Might seem a bit selfish of me to say that but my mother has done a lot of caring for family her whole life. I hope she can relax now.

Based on what you shared, how you feel and how she feels is valid.

My condolences, especially to your mom.

Caretakers sadly never fully rest (she still has to keep an eye on her children and her partner). I hope your mother is able to adjust and find a different sort of purpose as she grieves.

The price itself. It feels so Nokia 8 Sirocco. I doubt there will be micro SD support. I wish they had shot for the $700 US mark. But with 20 million lens on the back, that won't happen.

Yes, my mother is never one to rest but I do hope she can enjoy life a little more now.

All of us children and grandchildren and great grandchildren are doing fine.

My mother is a worrier and I think it's part of what drives her.

She's had a long slog of caring.

For me I'm fine.

My mother had to get over the shock of finding her. I know what that is like unfortunately. At least my wife and I could talk to her with understanding.

Yes she'll continue to grieve as she's done already. She has help from my siblings to deal with the other bits.

I'm hoping her visit here will be a good one and memorable. She still talks about her trip to the UK so a new experience I think will be good for her.

If I had the ability to is invite the whole family over but I think she could do with that break as well.

I haven't kept up with Nokia devices or specs in general. No idea of what's what.

I'll wait to see what the reviewers think.

The camera is an interesting thing. Curious to know what it will do.

I can only imagine what your mom is going through. I wish the best for her and your family in this process.

Aww, that does sound like it would be good for her.

The rest of the specs look run of the mill. I wonder if they'll add the notch to put in face ID as an alternative to the in-screen fingerprint scanner.

I am sure it will be a challenging transition period.
Good luck with the move and I hope that you have a great time with her when she comes and visits you in France.
