WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So I decided to give AirPods a try. I feel like they look silly but I have them mainly for phone calls (no headphone jack problems when your phone is charging, splitters are trash apparently) and listening to podcasts while doing a task. I'm not sure if I'll keep them or not. We will see. It's either these or the Jabra Elite 65t, which are around the same price but a little more.

With how slick the case is, I might lean towards the Jabra but I'll give these a few days.

I believe it, based on what you told me your experience has been like with moving countries and such.
Country number four of doing visas, trying to find a home, working, etc. I'm little over it to be honest.

The paperwork is tedious. Even in France, which is better than the UK.

Australia was the most nervous and trying times for the first year. Also the most expensive overall for administration.

I don't foresee any issues tomorrow. We had no problems with the first one (I'm doing a renewal) and we're in better shape than that so it should go smoothly.

Lol, I knew you would say that. I was kind of indifferent about this but being with someone and having long conversations with my phone ready to die at time and having no choice but holding my phone to my ear while connected to the charger gets old.

Blame Apple for killing the 3.5mm jack just to sell you Airpods. I certainly would.

Must be Monday with the amount of cleanup required today morning on the forums!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So went to my appointment for my residence card. Was a bit weird. The lady who served us was either really tired or just had one of those days. She laughed a lot. We're not entirely sure why she laughed...

Anyway, went off without a hitch except for one document which I sent to her via email once I got home. I didn't have the document and wasn't sure where to get it. Thankfully she was able to help and it was easily done online.

So now I wait about four weeks before I get the card. Not sure why it's four weeks but that seems to be the case. I have to pick it up in person which is a pain.

Ah that's interesting that you have to pick it up in person but I'm glad that all went well, as you said it would.

Yeah it's a bit of a pain. I had to do the same thing in Australia with my visas there. Finland was the same. It may have changed since then. The UK they're happy to mail it.

It means I have to take a day off to get it. I may wait until we do a return weekend to our farm. They'll hold it until I get it.

I'm also going to need a half day of work for my passport. At least they'll mail that back to me.

Such is life.

Been listening to some music on Spotify and then also finding the music video of the same song on YouTube.
I noticed that the audio quality on Spotify is miles better.

Good for you. I've hated Mondays long before Mr. Clue and you learned to dislike incompetence.
I normally get into hating Mondays when I'm not happy at work. When I was a contractor in Australia I didn't hate Mondays that much. When I went staff in the UK I got into the 'work culture' more and it wore me down.

That's what I've found anyway. The more you feel trapped the more you dislike your situation.

Am I looking forward to working again? Not really. I'm looking forward to the money and getting out of the deadlock situation we're in. I have a purpose for working and goals.

The first three months are going to be a bit tough simply because of the expenses required but after that it should level out. Just hope this contract extends past a year. Two would be great but I'm not holding my breath. Two years our house would be finished, orchard planted and house paid off most likely. I guess we'll see.

I original thoght of my working as Plan B but in reality it's still Plan A because the focus is the same just the implementation is different.

Can't believe I'll be working in less than a week...
