Recently, the iPhone SE reappeared as a special on Apple's site at 249. It sold out before I could have one. I know that I wrote what I wrote, but I will gift one to my brother because he missed out on it last time.

Also, it's kind of hard to not buy more than one but I will just buy one.

Edit: I really did just buy one for my brother only and not for myself as well \o/

It's looks like the 48mp camera is a trend. I wonder how many phones it's going to show up on this year.

I'm sure Apple won't bring one out for a couple of years and then claim to be the best when they do.

With all the snow and ice around it feels like winter. Thankfully it's not too cold but enough to not want to be out in it for long.

My dad's 640 is starting to act up. He wants the phone that I got for my mom (Moto G5+) in 2017 but it seems it's hard to find new because it's old. Since he uses his phone for a long time (he has been with the 640 since August 2015, but it messed up last year so I gave him the one I had), I think it's better to go new.

He doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a phone (me and him have way different limits on a lot of money for phones LOL) I see the G5S Plus, which will be a close match but still higher than his range. The Moto X4 looks good but I'm reading reviews that the speaker is poor, and my dad lives on speakerphone and is always watching stuff on WhatsApp so I need it to work. My dad's work building uses band 12, so it seems to be the best choice to go with a phone that has working VoLTE on T-Mo, which brings us to all of the Motos.

I was unsure but I see that Motorola is having a sale on their own phones on their site, so I think my dad will join the Moto club...

His needs are the occasional picture, quality reception (he calls more than anything else), loud speaker, and that's essentially it. Since he is used to the clean Windows experience, that seems to be the best bet.

Edit: He has joined the club!

Edit2: I'm glad that my dad would be good to go. I am going to have to gift him an app or two though, when he decides to actually move over lol.

I cannot wait until this rain goes away so I pull out my wired headphones. The MA-650 wireless sounds quieter when paired to the G7 than the 8. Of course the MA-750s perform better with the G7's 3.5mm jack.

I picked up a pair of wood bands for both watches. Looking forward to adjusting the pins because the tools I have ain't worth ****. Gonna take them to a local jeweler to do either tomorrow or Saturday.

Whoa, my technical class makes me glad that I'm single. It looks like quite a bit. I'll see how our first in person meeting goes but yep. I know that I can do it but it's some real stuff that can possibly take hours to practice and learn.

If they were in F I'd be really worried for you !

Still, that's pretty cold. We're nowhere near those temps. That's similar to what Toronto gets in winter.

We're going up to 5°C today so snow will be gone, well it's almost gone already as it was above freezing last night.

Unless it plans to dip down again I'd say the icy weather (below zero) is probably over.

Over the years I've been in engineering the term engineer has become watered down a lot but this is a new low.

Not sure if they're trying to be funny or if they have a problem with being a stay at home mother or whatever but an engineer you are not.

I'm curious to know what the practical side is.

I don't see everything yet but we will be using R for data regression, but not only that. I started with R a year ago and we started to learn a good amount of things with R but it will go up to intermediate. It looks like we have to clean up code and create what we need from scratch. I'll know more next week, but I have to refresh what I learned previously.

If it helps, this class is called Intro to Data Science.
