I think 99 is also a good example here too. As much as I bust his chops about it, for a long time he had no loyalty to any device because he set his rotation up like a business. He was planning on trying stuff and having it pay for itself (for the most part). That does take a fair amount of work to do, but that too is a mature way to do it.
The tech game will always be expensive as OEMs are inittimake $$$ primarily. There are other things one can spend the $ on that may give a it more mileage, but that is relative to the individual.
It does not sound like willpower as much as maturing and reprioritizing.You have great willpower. I'm working on being that way. I'm planning to buy a home after I graduate and it's just me so I'm trying to hold off on the random changes that don't need to be made.
