Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Seems like that Sony is holding up just fine.
It's ok. Still getting used to some things.

I'm still a believer in post editing. You can't get all the affects you want from a camera regardless how good it is.

Still lots to play with in manual mode.

Haven't been in the manual mode for the Mate 20 Pro properly either. Still, you've got a good camera, Sony being Sony aside.

I'm indifferent about RAW images on smartphones. It's a nice to have thing.

I don't like the auto night phots. Had to go manual.

Other than a few tweaks to the interface I'd be satisfied.

The bigger disappointment is the Cinema Pro app. Seriously needs work.

So just heard that Miley Cyrus song from Black Mirror. That was weird.

I wish I would compare the Sony app vs recording in .log format with LG.

So Palermo is a nice place. Doesn't feel as crazy as Catania. Though there's still elements of that...

So some pics. No editing.

That middle picture is of a fountain that is more is basically about debatchety. Ironically it sits between two churches...

Just read the description. It's the 12 Olympian gods of Greece. So not far off then....

That's not surprising because in many big cities in the USA there are bars right next to churches.

I'm not familiar with that format from lg.

I'm not either, despite having an LG. I use Nova Launcher Prime and Gboard or SwiftKey. I've only used the default LG launcher long enough to install what I want to use.

Fountain is from 1554... Probably before most bars in the USA.

Also a lot of priests drink...

The fountain belonged to a Viceroy in Florence and was bought by the city of Palermo. The fountain was transported over but it wasn't complete and also got damaged.

I think this started with the V30. Both the G7+ and V35 can do this. The .log is the file format it is saved in.

An old tale I remember:

A catholic priest who was a heavy drinker and smoker for many years was accosted by his family in his study at church one day. His family decided to hold an intervention!

"We love you and want you around a lot longer than you may believe," stated his wife. "You can either keep the flask or the smokes but NOT BOTH any more. We will give you 10 minutes to decide."

The family exited the study to leave the priest deep in thought. Ten minutes later, they marched back in. "What did you decide?" asked the wife.

"This." said the priest...and he handed over the flask, thus remaining alcohol free for the rest of his days.

(please don't analyze all the layers here)

People tend to forget that those (good ones) of the cloth experience a lot of secondary trauma in their work. Doesn't surprise me that so many bars were around near churches one bit (plus the alochol was one of the few sterilizing agents for a long time).

I think my immediate team of colleagues and I are at our wit's end at work. It's so sad, really.

Monks also brewed beer, since it was something they could have when they were fasting.
