WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Is this for how you use them and what phone is primarly used for one thing over the other?
Partly. I also have to set up what apps I have on each. Gonna run another clean bill on the LG device and remove some more crap from the Mate 20 Pro.

Today is a strange day.

Not only did I read about Dump's Tweets ordering companies to stop using China (he and his family should go first maybe?). But how undemocratic is this? No president can order a company to do anything.

Then we have the UK PM, the clown, asking the Queen (keeping in mind she's technically just a figurehead but does have power, which could cause a whole bunch of other issues if she used it) to suspend parliament so they have no ability to go against Brexit. Also highly undemocratic.

What a state of the world...

Did you see the war of words between Bolsonaro and Macron recently? Back in the days **** like that would start wars.

True. If we were still ruled by kings...

I know why Brazil voted for that guy but they have no one to blame but themselves for him.

He's out to destroy the Amazon solely to supply soy and beef to the world.. the world needs to stop eating so much beef...

China will buy it just fine. Which is ******* some American farmers off while they wait for Trump "art of the deal" skills to kick in to end this trade war. Sometimes I just want to stay home in bed and truly ignore this global cluster**** permanently.

Man, these Pixel 4 and iPhone 11 devices, if true, may be some ugly looking things that get buried deep in cases.

We need to reduce our meat consumption. Even if it's just beef to start with it needs to be reduced.

The vast majority of soy and corn that is grown is for livestock consumption not human.

If we didn't have the beliefs that we do about life then maybe we'd view the world and life a bit differently, maybe even more care. I know I dream too much. Unfortunately when you have a large portion of the population believing that humans are special and 'deserving' this is what happens.

We're out to kill ourselves. I guess it will be done one way or another.

Either that or what's happening is the last grasp of money and power but the elite but I doubt that.

Contrary to popular belief, I did consider a Pixel 3 recently. They're just still too overpriced for my taste. And I'm still not a fan of the gestures Google is using. I don't think they're bad phones, but Google is going to have a hard time going forward if they don't add something else to them outside of the "stock Android and great auto camera" as the main selling points.

There are too many people on the planet. The problem with this is that there's a wild distribution of people. Some countries with declining populations wants to replenish with "their own people".

I suspect we've outgrown that magic number of the amount of humans the earth can naturally sustain in balance with other species a long time ago. Not saying we need to start killing off people, I'm just saying that the 6 billion + people is a serious strain on resources.

The term Fugly comes to mind...

I agree they are quite that. It will take a case to make them look decent.
They remind me of going to the bar/club for a hook up and meeting someone you'd ordinarily not be interested in but due to needs and enough alcohol, you start justifying the intentions and they get more appealing.

Actually the amount of humans isn't the issue, though there should be less of us, it's the lifestyle we lead and the 'use' of resources.

I believe currently the statistic is that if we all lived like Americans we would need another two planet Earths. So we should be thankful for that but unfortunately there are a few countries who believe they should have the American lifestyle... Not sure why. Everything American tends to poison a population eventually.

So let me dart in and put of Laura's doghouse quickly...although I'm curious to see which of the regulars will bite...

The interesting part about this for me is that it's in Business Insider (love the disclaimer at the top). Different kind of work, I suppose...

I've seen a few things about this topic already. Typically the 'daddies' are expecting some form of 'payment' for their funds and gifts.

The weird part of this is that in a few countries prostitution is not illegal and not dangerous. Funny that.

There's a whole thing I could say about this but to be blunt the criminalisation of prostitution is ridiculous and is totally related to the prudishness that resides in the 'public' sphere in the USA, behind closed doors Americans are completely different. Of course it's also religious based nonsense...

I could argue the counterpoint for some of these places were commercial sex work (in Europe) is legal, there's an undercut of human trafficking that is quite problematic.

I can also argue that it is highly likely the individual who writes this post may look more like you than like me (even though some of the folks who looked like me have worked this angle to a similar degree of "success"). But that's a separate issue...somewhat.

Nothing in life is free. It's just a different type of work in my eyes, with its own sets of challenges. If done smartly, it can be lucrative, and if done foolishly, it just leads to an overploughed plot of land always looking for business, often baring unattractive fruit.

A western European originated idea that America has amplified at the next level. Didn't all known historical powers have some wasteful elements in terms of resource usage to their culture? But I digress...

There will always be a criminal side to any industry. All industries have issues, especially when it's easy to exploit people.

Saying that, on the whole a properly regulated sex work would be far safer than the current system in the US and other countries where it's not. The amount of money and time wasted on police, courts, etc would be a huge saving on it's own without even going into the taxes that would be brought in.

At this point in time breathing is still free... that could change.
