WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So let me dart in and put of Laura's doghouse quickly...although I'm curious to see which of the regulars will bite...

The interesting part about this for me is that it's in Business Insider (love the disclaimer at the top). Different kind of work, I suppose...

I found this to be a very interesting read. It kinda crushed some of what I assumed.

I'm going to assume that the writer is likely conventionally attractive.

Today is a strange day.

Not only did I read about Dump's Tweets ordering companies to stop using China (he and his family should go first maybe?). But how undemocratic is this? No president can order a company to do anything.

Then we have the UK PM, the clown, asking the Queen (keeping in mind she's technically just a figurehead but does have power, which could cause a whole bunch of other issues if she used it) to suspend parliament so they have no ability to go against Brexit. Also highly undemocratic.

What a state of the world...

Ugh I read that this morning. I actually had no idea it was possible to actually suspend Parliament

A western European originated idea that America has amplified at the next level. Didn't all known historical powers have some wasteful elements in terms of resource usage to their culture? But I digress...

I wasn't suggesting that Europeans didn't have a wasteful culture of it's own. The industrial revolution started in the UK and has been an issue ever since.

It's just a bit different here and the limited resources that Europe has now compared to what the USA use to have is what made the difference in attitude. The USA is a lot bigger than Europe (not including Russia).

Throw away culture and mass produced 'stuff' is a problem everywhere.

Contrary to popular belief, I did consider a Pixel 3 recently. They're just still too overpriced for my taste. And I'm still not a fan of the gestures Google is using. I don't think they're bad phones, but Google is going to have a hard time going forward if they don't add something else to them outside of the "stock Android and great auto camera" as the main selling points.
True. In an ideal world, the idea of a Pixel 3 works for me but I wish that the 3 and 3a switched sizes.

It's crazy that it's still "high".

From some of the things I've seen on this you'd be surprised how fairly average looking some of them are.

Not saying this particular author isn't attractive though.

There will always be a criminal side to any industry. All industries have issues, especially when it's easy to exploit people.

Saying that, on the whole a properly regulated sex work would be far safer than the current system in the US and other countries where it's not. The amount of money and time wasted on police, courts, etc would be a huge saving on it's own without even going into the taxes that would be brought in.

At this point in time breathing is still free... that could change.

From what I hear in Nevada, it sounds like a hassle but I guess it's safer. I heard a podcast episode from a lady that works in one and she is married or in relationship.

If you wish to listen, it's on a podcast named heavy topics with lightweights. The episode is called, get the money upfront or something like that.

Happens frequently but usually for a week or two. However, it's the timing of this and the length that makes it objectionable.

I can believe that. It's just some of us, this kind of thing isn't possible to even consider. I'm not interested, I'm just saying.

MIA kinda said the same already.

Generally in Europe (not just in the Netherlands) sex work is generally left to it's own devices. Nobody really thinks much about it. In the Netherlands, specifically Amsterdam, it's regulated. It's also regulated in Australia. Not many people know that.

I've seen a couple of things on the sex industry in Nevada, specifically Reno where it's regulated.

Like anything. If done right everyone is safer overall. Doesn't mean there won't be those who will take advantage of the situation. But I think it's a far better idea than the current idea that it's a crime and all the other issues that come with that situation.

I may check the podcast out though.

One, I personally couldn't do it (either way). Two, I'm married. Three, I couldn't afford it.

If it works for some people great. I have no objection what two adults do.

I'm hoping this is resolved today because I'm tired. Otherwise, I decided that I'll just listen to my podcasts on my phone while waiting.

I agree with you. As long as there's an honorable agreement, they can do whatever.

As with everything else this ***** does, it flies contrary to the Constitution. Only Congress is granted power to control commerce with foreign nations.

Your president is trying to interfere in the UK now with his latest tweet.... He's such a ****.

Also for those wondering what those who think Brexit is a great idea here's a quote taken from the right wing rag in the UK.

Oh dear Jean. Haven't you realised yet. You can't bully Great Britain any more. Remember Great Britain won the 2nd world war along with out great and faithful ally the United States of America. Trump and Boris will make us Great again. We don't need France or Germany. Au revoire. Auf wiedersehen. Ps don't care if they are spelt wrongly because we are outta there.

Yes, WWII reference.... supposed 'bullying' by the EU... and the idea that US and UK will be 'great again'. Yeah...

This is the mentality that's prevalent in the UK Brexit idiots. This is so common it would be funny if it were a comedy on TV but unfortunately this is real life.

Oh well, it's now official.

Parliament will be suspended for 5 weeks. Longest suspension since 1945... how ironic.

If you missed it. The Queen has to approve this. She's never gone against the government. There's a suggestion going around that she's all for Brexit... which wouldn't surprise me.

It's too early to be dealing with people not reading and or listening and having to clean up the spills from said knuckleheadedness.

Did you really wonder which “regulars” would chime in? Ok, I’ll bite. I’m progressive enough to understand that a woman should be able to do whatever she pleases with her God-given goods. That being said, there are too many psycho men out there and “sugar babies” need to be on their toes - when they’re not on their backs.
