WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Sadly this could be said about dating in general these days from what I've read lately.

It's gotten pretty bad.
All genders have mental health issues that are seemingly exacerbated by current post modern life these days. There are just enough horror stories about "crazy Annie" as there are about "drama Juwanna" and "psycho Joe".

Yeah that was all in the article along with all the other stuff about scammers etc.

I'm not one to cheat nor am I one to pay for something like that. I have no objection if someone wants to pay for that though. However I do object to cheating.

As the saying goes, everything is for sale...
Sometimes we are in relationships with people who have no interest on being their better selves. Not everyone can take OR offer constructive criticism. Sometimes we have societal messages that state pursuing your own individual pleasure (even at the expense of someone else) is acceptable.

So it can be just easier to "outsource" what's missing in the relationship. The problem with that is the side piece in most cases doesn't want to be a side piece for very long.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least though I've heard more about the guys.

This is pretty true.

Relationships are complex things. Unfortunately a lot of people have issues with communication with their significant other and instead of dealing with that they just look for something else.

To me if your relationship is that bad that you can't discuss things and talk about things what's the point? Split up and then find someone else. It's obviously not working.

Women typical don't have to pay for sex, so you're always going to hear about the guys. I've had one or two of those ladies before - no one wants to talk about those experiences, especially men. Seen as weakness and all that other crap.

Somwtimes the devil that you know is safer to manage than the one you meet on Tinder.

I'm going to take moment out the talk on relationships and 'sugaring' and instead talk about music.

I typically like to listen to whole albums. I don't know why this is but it's something I've done since I was a teenager. I've always wanted to hear more than what's popular.

Now of course doing this you typically run into that 'one' song that you wonder why it was even put on the album. Sometimes there could be two of those. Other times it can be the whole rest of the album other than that one song that's popular but I think that's rare.

Lately I've been listening to two albums. One as a re-acquaintance with it, the other as simple interest.

The re-acquaintance is with a band called I Mother Earth and the album is Dig. It's a very 90's sounding album but I think it's a good album overall. The sound is sort of hard rock jazzy with influences from Pink Floyd. The group is Canadian and I recently heard they got back together. Unfortunately Spotify doesn't have their other album on there yet. Hoping it does soon.

The other one is the latest from The Red Hot Chili Peppers - The Getaway. Now I'm not a huge fan but I do like some of their songs. I've always had difficulty getting through one of their albums as well. This is actually the first I'm able to listen to start to finish. Yes there is at least one song on there I could do without but it's not that bad.

Out of the albums of theirs I've listened to I'd say this is their most diverse sounding album they've put out. I'm a sucker for that kind of thing. I like when groups experiment and try different things out.

One song particular that I've really come to like is the last song on the album - Dreams of a Samurai. It's quite a tune. It's also got a wacky timing 8/5 for those who might like that kind of thing. Apparently Anthony (lead singer) had difficulty figuring out how to sing to it. It's a great song though.

Anyway, so for anyone who likes RHCP I would highly recommend giving the whole album a listen.

I need to find new albums now.

I know the usual suspects who would likely answer. Wanted to heard from 99 (he's on Johnny Cash - Been Everywhere mode) and aximtreo the most for a more interesting take...

My generation treated the worlds oldest profession differently. We had the Ostrich syndrome and tried to ignore it. Open eyes and minds are a much better way to accept what is surely happening every second of every day on this planet. As I have been through two marriages where sex has been used as a treat for being a good little boy, trading goods for services makes much more sense.

Losing internet is pretty painful but when our network drops out it's not fun at all. It's happened twice so far here. In other places it usually happens at least once a year.

Wow, that also sounds annoying.

Today, the director just informed me that I'm on the list and that they are swamped. This is progress but also means it'll be a little while before this is fixed. She wants to reassign me to another computer temporarily.

After going all over, my computer has been moved to another workstation so this will do for now with internet access. For some reason, the printer here isn't having it but aside from that, it works.
