Here's an excellent article. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/out-the-darkness/201912/divided-we-fallThat's not what I was talking about. That's confusing the topic. There's a difference of coming 'from' a place and nationalism.
I personally like to see everyone as human beings personally. Screw the titles. Descriptors just complicate things.
All we seem to want to constantly do is separate ourselves from each other. It's our natural way, I know that, but doesn't mean we can't strive for change and something better.
We can't help ourselves going back to nature whether we think we're above it or not. It's too ingrained in us. Like a lot of things.
As for assimilation, that's like brain washing. I know the USA likes that idea though, they've been at it for decades with their own populace. That's the wrong way to look at it.
There's nothing wrong with the idea of integration, becoming part of society and respecting the place you moved to, regardless where that is. Doesn't mean you can push for real change either. You can still be where you're from and bring something to society as well. There's no one way of doing things either.
Good article overall. Missed the one point though. Here's an excellent article. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/out-the-darkness/201912/divided-we-fall

Belonging to a group is part of our evolutionary past and it's part of our overall makeup.
We are the naked apes. We are apes that walk upright and have a bit bigger brain than our closest relatives but that doesn't change the fact that deep down we're still apes.
Belonging to a group as an ape is very important. All the things that groups do in humans you find in wild apes. There's lots of research on this.
The key difference for us is the large brain we have. It separates us but unless we start training ourselves better to use it we will continue to be nothing but naked apes that walk upright with a slightly bigger brain.
We can and should be better but our wild side persists.
Don’t look at it as how far we have to go but how far we have come from.....
Those who don't know their history, are doomed to repeat it.We seem to be going backwards...
There was a time that I felt we were starting to progress in the right direction but now it just feels we're repeating history once again.
Still thinking this over and every option I'm lookong at still isn't sitting well with me in a way that I'd like.Sony has released a pair of wired usb-c headphones I'm curious to try. Looks like I'll have to get them shipped from Japan. Just wondering if it still be worth it to keep an LG as a daily driver. I think I'll wait to see what happens with the G9/V60 first. If not, I'll maybe hunt down a V50 instead. Otherwise, if these Sony's are good, it would make using something like a Pixel/Note 10/Xperia 5 more tolerable to use.
T-mobile has a promo now with the Note 10+ for up to $450 off if I trade in the V40. I just don't need a device that large.

SMH.

Groups of animals and specific leaders of those groups are evolutionary traits occurring in many species which have the alpha male or the matriarch who is in charge of the social group.Good article overall. Missed the one point though.

I'm not sure what trend upward has to do with anything... Sounds very market driven...I feel we’ve been going backwards for about thirty years. But on a larger point to point, overall trend is upward so keep the faith and together we do our parts to move in the right direction.
Just call it for what it is: we're quite ****ed if we stay on this current trajectory as humans.I'm not sure what trend upward has to do with anything... Sounds very market driven...
Humans, if we survive the next 200 years, have a long way to go.
Too many are living with their heads in the sand. Too much ignorance. Too much lack of compassion. Too much self interest. Too stuck in old thinking. Too stuck in their little bubble.
I don't see much good in the world at the moment. I don't have any faith to keep.
As Bill Hicks once put it, 'humans are just as virus with shoes'
Don't see this as negative. It's just we as humans haven't figured out how to live as a global community that we've created. It explains why there so many wanting to 'return to the good ol days'. Until we do nothing will change. Unfortunately, time isn't in our side.
I've been running it since last week and really don't notice any major differences. I do know that it broke Smart Lock, but I don't use Smart Lock.I see the Android 10 /OneUi 2 update waiting for me to install it. I like that I have it (remember that mine is unlocked) but I have to see what other S10 users experienced with this update.

Ooh that's helpful. Thank you. I'll wait then.I've been running it since last week and really don't notice any major differences. I do know that it broke Smart Lock, but I don't use Smart Lock.
