So I haven't mentioned it (I think). My wife and I started French classes. They're Saturday mornings. We've done two so far. We're doing the basics again. This class is specific for English speakers as we can ask questions about stuff in English. We thought about evening classes but after a full working day it's hard. Yes I know some people here have done are doing evening classes.

I know some people might say this isn't the best way to lean but we're doing a lot better than the other class we were in. It helps a lot to be able to ask questions. That and speaking, listening etc.

So hopefully we'll get there.

This is an official class with a test at the end. It goes on levels here.

It's part of becoming a citizen as well. You need a certain proficiently in speaking and also writing. So grammar is important.

So that's why this class is good for us. We're learning both.

We're doing the first half of level A1. We could've did all of A1 but we wanted to have summer to ourselves and do some travel.

We're paying for this class so missing days would be losing money.

Wow this class sounds awesome! It sounds like y'all figured out the perfect balance of fun and learning. I hope that the class continues to go well.

Good luck with this. Reminds me I need to go back to Japanese again and to take up Spanish...

I'm very excited that my new Alma master's men's basketball team got to 20 wins for the first time in eons today. With a rugged defense and the best home record in the entire country (18-1) this year, they played a very NY style workmanlike brand of hoops. Likely their first NCAA tournament appearance in eons too, and they were briefly ranked in the top 25 this year. Not bad for playing in arguably the roughest league with the toughest schedule based on quality of opponents.

Not bad, Rutgers, not bad at all.

All I can say is..... Maneeeeeeeeeee!! what a cool finish..
2-1 win, three points, top of the league
3 games to win, and we are champions...
22 straight home victories
Spurs has been, erm, very Spurs-like
and, yup the refereeing was crap..
Apologies.... if that didnt make much sense.

Yup. Made sense as I watched it along too. They didn't look sharp, at all. A win is a won though.

Yes, Spurs played a Spurs like game today. They need depth...we do not have enough quality bodies to be running in both the EPL and Europa/Champions League at the same time with this current squad.

With COVID-19 out there, I don't like the prospect to games playing to a closed empty stadium..

Good luck with that! I would imagine learning a new language as an adult is difficult.

I have a younger cousin, who is a diehard Spurs fan. He went to London, to watch the finals on the big screen in White Hart Lane. Got me a Spurs-Lpool scraf... unfortunately, he hasn't fully recovered since the finals last May. The fallout is tearing him apart inside.

That was cool for him to go to the finals. I stand by my thought that the team has been too top heavy for the past few years. Not enough depth.

Unfortunately for the first time ever, picked up some malware on the V35. Did a quick uninstall of the culprit. Hopefully that takes care it. Should have done a back up (cannot remember if I did) of the V35 when I first set it up recently...if I did I would have done a full factory reset and restore. The good thing is don't keep certain things on my phone anymore, so I should be OK.
