... meanwhile as the world comes crashing down, mamma knows best for the kids

Five 16 day old mouths to feed, so they are taking turns. Must say, they are the quietest newborn.. Stowaways at the dim corner behind the cabinet!!!
The pict is kinda grainy, but acceptable...

They don't have to worry about complex things like voting, government screw-ups with disaster management and ICU stays. Eat, stay alive - just as important and complex.

Depending on age and type. SD cards eventually fail.

I've had a few do that.

I got this one when I bought Nokia Asha 300, so a long long time ago. It served me really well until I did a stupid thing that got it to break down. Anyway, it's definitely dead and I don't know how to get another one. All the tech stores are closed. My best bet are shopping malls.

I've lost tons of data in this year. I've accidentally deleted 5000 photos, forgot to backup some documents when I was reinstalling Windows, and now I lost some, but not much, with this SD card failure.

Among those 5000 photos are all my high school graduation photos. They could be on OneDrive, but I'm afraid of looking there, there's at least another 5000 there.

I use Google to backup automatically once I'm connected to WiFi. It's far easier to work with.

I find OneDrive clunky on the phone. I have a bunch of backups there to move over though.

I haven't lost photos for some time now.

I may mentioned I require a form to go out or I get a fine?

Well they finally digitised it. It creates a QR code so the police don't have to touch your phone, just scan it. Yay!

Except now people are paranoid that they're going to be tracked by the government ...

I often find this hysterical. Tracked by corporations and data sold to highest bidder, no issues, possible government tracking and they lose their minds...

Sigh. The world is messed.

Just FYI. Government has stated and stressed that they don't keep the data and there's no tracking.

But you know, trust issues...

I'm going to use it. Save paper and all that...

I feel that.
My 1 Tgb external drive died on me, everything on it gone... luckily I had a partial set of back up on my laptop... and another on OneDrive... it took weeks to work out what I actually lost. Backuping to one Drive is a nice idea, but during that time, the broadband speed wasn't exactly blistering... it was a really frustrating episode trying to preview and download files....
Now I'm a bit smarter... with a few more 2TB external disk for redundant backups... .. I don't use Off365 anymore, so I'm down to 30GB on onedrive... those fill up very quickly...

Sorry haven't been posting here in a while.
Too busy at work currently but that should taper off starting next week.
Our plants are going to be idled for two weeks since all other healthcare surgeries have pretty much stopped everywhere.
Also starting next week we get a 20% pay cut for 3 months but get to keep our jobs.
In other we need to sort out our housing situation as landlord wants to sell the place, ugh.

Oh my God, this day. I managed to brake windows on my laptop while doing a reset. It got to 40% and then the screen went blue and got me into a boot menu of some sort.
Downloading an ISO onto USB from another PC. Let's hope I'll manage to do a clean install.

I wasn't a fan of a regular backups, I definitely am now. I stil have around 15GB left on OneDrive, I'll be good for some time.

This was a success. But now I have two system partitions on my SSD, which means I can't delete them from the Manager. I'll just leave it for now, can't stare at the monitor any more.

So Honor Blackman is gone. I really liked Goldfinger. That name her character had was killer...it was interesting how they were able to dress it up that way. She was nice looking but I wonder what does a woman who lives up to that name look like?

I can't, I just can't. Laura will drop Maxwell's Silver Hammer on me.

Neither could I, that's why I didn't mention it. I have a sneaky suspicion a few Latinas have that, but I'm going to end the commentary here before we both get put out.

It sounds like you have a lot going on. I hope that y'all will be able to find a place to live that works decently.

The 20% cut isn't cool at all, but I'm thankful that you and your colleagues will be able to keep your jobs during this time.

Also, if anyone is into guitar hero type music, this song from Tool's new album fits the bill perfectly.

The song is possibly about one person but I think it fits a few...

This is probably the best song on the new album to me anyway.
