Given the push to reopen, I'd honestly rather work from home and have a few days when I physically have to go into the office (1-2). I'll likely hear some within the next few days about the program's plan to get us back to normal. We work in close quarters and some staff pre COVID-19 who come into work sick, especially when they're out of PTO days or on probation.

While I could empathize with those choices, in a COVID-19 world I want no part of that.

Having owned OG Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2XL, Pixel 3XL, Pixel 3a and Pixel 4XL I would say my favorite devices are

Pixel 2XL, OG Pixel and Pixel 3a.
The other devices were good but had one or other compromise.

To me, this makes sense. From what I remember of the 2XL, the battery life was decent. Wasn't this also the model that had the Panda look? I forget. The 3a is awesome, and I also really liked the OG Pixel. Enough that I owned that phone more than once LOL.

So I see the article making the rounds and I'm sad - but not surprised. As a Pixel 3XL owner, it confirmed what I thought - this was a nice phone but not at what Google was asking for it. Same for the Pixel 4. I think I would have liked the in-hand feel better on the 4XL than the 3XL.

OG Pixel was interesting. Pixel 2 was a nice follow up. The Pixel 3 is good, but outside of refining the materials and adding wireless charging it is missing something. The Pixel 4 felt good still but was a beta. They got the price to value ratio wrong for both the 3 and 4 and are getting punished for it. They didn't address certain issues - battery life and being stingy with storage (including pulling unlimited Google photos at full resolution).

I agree with Google going to the upper mid range. The 4A is a mistake. I wished the 4 was a last big swing before going into the upper mid range.

It makes me wonder how this will look from the 5 on, or maybe if there will even be a 5a.

If the 2XL had the 3XL's screen it would have been the best Pixel, by far.

I guess @raycpl isn't alone in having Fitbits with dead screens. My Versa 2 can be added but not because of a defect. I cracked mine due to a reflexive backhanded swat at a skeeter. No, it wasn't that large but the steel column I didn't see in my periphery sure was. Fossil Gen 5, grab a bat you're pinch-hitting.

If Google were smart, they'd do two more years as an OEM and get the hell out. Do the Pixel 5 as a bigger phone (kep the XL only) and make the 5A as the smaller model by doing different cycles.

Man, this reopening is gonna be crazy.

I asked to be permanently remote as my preference. I can do it, but I don't have a fax...something I need to sort out. Management is still figuring out the logistics, so they don't know if I can get thay as a preference. Commute is going to be brutal for me if that happens as most of the pts I work with it's easier to get to them in the community from work vs from home. I have a template as to how to adjust my schedule but it's gonna suck and be difficult.

Some staff have their hours cut and are applying to a temporary unemployment program starting Monday. Leadership is trying to cut out the bull and be more transparent. Hundreds of millions of $$$ were lost in the past three months.

This stuff will either sober you up or have you put in a permanent central line to get the booze faster in your system.

I already have one for coffee. Maybe an extra port can be installed for Jack Daniels.
