Just for the 5.1.1 update for my Nexus 7. It appears a bit more zippy.
Changed my region settings to US but still no Cortana. Speech settings are English(US) . Location services are on. Running Lumia denim. No sign of Cortana. I also searched the store.
Well that's a bummer you'll find it soon enough

Find it? Does Cortana gets lost in the phone's memory?!
I don't think she's(it) there at all.
Did you go to settings > application > Cortana ?
Did you download the language pack?Changed my region settings to US but still no Cortana. Speech settings are English(US) . Location services are on. Running Lumia denim. No sign of Cortana. I also searched the store.

maybe msft patched that up or something.I had downloaded the language pack English(US) when I installed denim on my phone almost a month ago. But still I've checked it twice in the settings.
I also got that update. :smile:Just for the 5.1.1 update for my Nexus 7. It appears a bit more zippy.
Maybe it's just me but Cortana was never anything that excited me and the poor way they released it didn't help my opinion much. Add to the fact that you need to have location on, which drains WP like mad, and it becomes somewhat of a toy rather than anything useful.
Hope the next phones have good batteries.
If you plan to use Cortana properly then you need both data and GPS on.Keeping Location Services on doesn't mean that it accessing your location all the time. Just that its allowed to.
It battery drainage is negligible.
But maybe Cortana accesses location all the time like a GPS so maybe that's why location services cause battery drainage then.
