While it's not my style, it is nice hardware. Touchwiz isn't as atrocious as it used to be, but I still don't like it.

So...looks like I'm about to be 2 for 2...the issue with the GF's computer was broken pins on the CPU. Hardware set up nicely. Now working on the software to get 8.1 installed.

My cable management is atrocious, but it looks like everything is running so far. Just going to install Windows tonight and clean it all up on the weekend. Really seems that the CPU pins were the issue as I just connected everything at once and the optical drive started working and it booted out POST immediately.

If I were a jealous man, I'd be envious of her rig as she may not have to get another machine again for a few years.

Touch wiz is junk. I hated using her S4, which was a whole lot worse. Hardware wise, the Note is great. Like the S Pen, it feels very comfortable in hand with the case on...I can one hand it quite easily.

Still think she may need something like the MSFT band 2, but that's for later in the year. Good way to end a ****ty day with some positives.

I was wondering why it got colder here so quickly.... Hell has frozen over...

It will be interesting to see what comes out of this. I get the feeling that a lot of WP fans are hoping for Google apps on W10... Otherwise there will be howls of anger and frothing at the mouth... Heck I think there's flecks appearing already....

I guess we'll see....

Been using a Nexus 5 and the Lumia 640 side by side the last few days. Nexus feels great in hand and is light even with a case. The screen on the 640 is miles ahead though...just saying.
