Dang it Best Buy! The XZ2 Compact is already on sale...after I bought one. Like it's even cheaper than what I paid for just 2 days ago from another source, but with tax, it is more expensive.
I think I will try it after all (it's waiting for me...) and if it disappoints (which I expect it to), I can just return and be done with it.

The OP6 and the OPX are their two best designs. The OPO and the OP6 are their best phones. They've broken too many promises and did too much bull**** dsguised as "growing pains" (from the initial invite system to no 6.0 for the OP2 after talking about 2 year support to running a giveaway of 500 phones through MKBHD in the midst of people waiting for backordered OP3s for 6 weeks) as a sub brand of Oppo to ever earn my cash again. Their saving grace is the fanboys who dev really hard on their devices who will built custom ROMs to support the phones post their update window.

I instantly tried the only thing that I have a gripe about with Sony phones, which are the cameras of course. The processing does appear to be better over the last generation but it's not enough. It's still inferior to my A3 (close yes, but the colors are nah) and the iPhone 7.
Glad that I didn't go through with the hassle of trading it for a lower price. Also glad that I didn't expect much, that would have been a wasted effort.

I'm really baffled by Sony camera performance on their devices since other smartphones use Sony sensors and get great results.

Same! I can't say that I'm done with Sony though, I wish that I could but they are the only ones who seem to make small phones that don't have terrible specs.
Samsung is (or was) close but the A6 is too tall for my liking and that is the smallest phone they have made this year.

Sadly, Sony is stubborn and feels their Superior auto mode gets the best results in the same way that the dude in the White House feels he's the best ever President.
