WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Same.

At this time, the only thing I can see myself doing at some point is possibly getting the XZ2 Compact again and switching carriers (yes, the two have to go together in order for me to use it). Otherwise, I'm not interested in anything. Everything is too tall and/or big for me to care about seeking or trying it.

Additionally:
1) I'm kind of sentimental right now so I like having all of the texts (and first interactions) from my guy on the same phone. I didn't get it before, but I get it now.
2) My mom keeps having to travel internationally and WhatsApp is a pain to try to transfer chats between iOS and Android.

Edit: While I did get the Essential Phone, I have no plans to use it as a phone. It's an excellent reading device.
Somebody got boy fever...

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Got locked into the office today working late by the cleaning person.

So I'm at my desk, charting and calling people like crazy because I don't go to work for 3 days. The cleaning guy, in his habit, locked the door behind him after talking to me in the room. That office door once locked cannot be opened from the inside.

So I call security to let me out. Here's the transcript:

1st call:

MIA: Hi, I'm an employee here at (blank). I'm locked inside my office as the cleaning person locked the door behind him.
Security: Oh, Ok.
MIA: Can you send someone to unlock the door?
Security: Ok, sure.

(MIA, waits for 15 minutes, hears keys jingling on the floor outside for a few minutes, then silence.)

2nd call (half hour later):

MIA: Hey, I'm the employee who called earlier. Can you send someone?
Security: We sent someone earlier and they didn't see you.
MIA: That's because I'm locked INSIDE the office and am trying to get out.

Moral of the story:

- Routines can get you in trouble
- Always pay attention
- Don't be a hero and work late

Omg! That's crazy! I'm glad that you finally got out.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So I have been noticing something interesting for the last few days. I come to work, log on to the forums on WC and check the moderation queue. It is basically spam galore. Usually I approve one post or thread and the rest I need to delete and ban users. Things have really gone down the drain lately.

I am sure it is the same on the other forums as well.

Sounds like a slog indeed. Guess Mobile nations is in a weird place with the forums now - community vibe has surely changed.

Remember, the hormones wear off around after 18 months, so...

...gotta use the time you have to see if what you have can start you on the road to something else...

Noted.
Something else like? Do you mean like the next step or something else in general? Let's see if we can get there though.

Just simply letting you know the hormones on average wear off after 18 months.

Sometimes people because of the hormones pigeonhole red flags that they see, painting over them with hope that "if you work on them long enough, they'll disappear". Sometimes people skip over best qualities as they're hung up on what the person doesn't have. It's not easy balancing and figuring it out.

Just paying attention, stay aware, enjoy the journey. That is all.

Contemplating a Gear Sport. The Mate 10 (not the Pro) has gone down the list. It's back between the G7+ and V35. I think price will be the ultimate decider. Love the Pixel, but I was reminded today how much I have to babysit the battery.

I think for me, the hardest thing has been to find a replacement for the Xperia Z3. It had it all: water resistance, magnetic fast charging, a fine headphone jack, stereo speakers micro SD, nice looks, good battery life, timely updates, fast performance and a very solid camera. Since then: the G4 and Lumia 950 has been the closest - yet they've all been missing things. The 950 lacked water resistance; the G4 - water resistance and wireless charging.

It's just been a pain, really. Don't like being pigeonholed. Never considered myself a nerd or a spec junkie - just a better than average consumer. I'm sure the V35/G7 will be short on battery, the Mate 10 will be on wireless charge and audio, as Huawei jacks are so-so.

It just plain sucks.

Gotcha. Thanks for the wisdom.

I don't know if it's because it's early but I feel like I'm in the appreciation phase, so I seem to really note the several qualities that are great about him over the red flags. I find myself often thinking that I really like that he does this or that he has that. I have really been trying to keep my head and heart in this continuously.

The HW2 has been exactly what I want. Just in that something new phase and if I decided that I'd give Tizen a try at a nice price.

I'm curious about the new redesign for AW (not calling that Wear OS). My feelings are that the chips Qualcomm are using aren't as optimized for watches as they're claiming. AW is having that WP feel to it. Lol.

You'll get to where you're to get to. It's not easy but I trust you'll figure it out.
