Picked up a gear sport for the GF. I took her from a Band 2 to a Gear Fit to now a Gear Sport. It's about time she uses a smart watch, as the last two, while helpful, had some design flaws. The Band 2 gave her rashes before it died; the Gear Fit straps fall off her hand easily.

Plus the blue is her color and it matches nicely with her still going 64GB blue Note 5.

Gonna get her a nice blue leather dress strap and a screen protector.

I went browsing again today. I'm very torn. I want a V35 but not at the current asking price. That's too asinine. The V40 isn't that bigger than my XZ2. G7 and XZ2 is the same size with the G7 being lighter and more screen and said notch.

Something about the LG notches aren't sitting well with me. So I think I'll pass for now and suffer along with the wireless headphones/dongles until the prices come down some more.

I will get an LG, I just have to wait a lot longer. That's OK by me.

We plan but a lot of the time we see what happens. You can't really figure your whole life out. Life would be too boring. Besides if I did that I'd still be living in Canada... Life is interesting and exciting but also dull. Both are important for your well-being.

Tomorrow night we're leaving our cat alone for the first time. We'll make sure she has provisions. We're also keeping her confined to our mobile home and catio the we made for her. She won't be happy about that but we'll feel better.

Still, we'll worry anyway.

She'll be fine....

Yes we know that.

We're just being doting parents.

Our cat has turned into a full fledged farm cat. So she went from being in a cage to in a house to on a farm. She's quite happy on the farm though I think she's not liking the cold weather.

Got down to -3C last night unexpectedly. We were only expecting 6C. I'm finding the weather is quite difficult to predict here.

Before Night Sight, Huawei introduced the Night Shot mode on the P20 Pro. They have since ported that to the Mate 10 Pro as well.

I got to try it out today at 5AM whilst it was still dark outside. No Pixel but still pretty darn good.

Today was a day where one of the central issues I seek to navigate at work: autonomy surrounding health issues, surfaced in a big way. Whether at the bedside of an inpatient unit, the hallway of a multi-story apartment building or in an Internet forum, you'd be surprised at how complicated it can be to navigate this issue.

A big part of respecting autonomy is understanding what it takes to maintain the other person's autonomy. All I can do is offer information, people will choose to do with it what they think is necessary. Knowing how to sit with those choices and remembering it isn't about you but about the other person is a hard skill to master.
