WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Battery life has been so so on the G7. It doesn't help that my fit it doesn't play nice with the new tablet and I'm using the MA-650 wireless. So I've got a lot happening Bluetooth wise.

Aw dang. That sucks that it hasn't been great for you.

Just got my tuition bill and I think this iPad that I ordered has to go back.
I'm thankful that most of it is covered but the amount that I have to pay isn't low for me.

Sounds like you need to go buy the milk instead and leave that cow alone.

I knew that you would say that, lol. I will. I'll just use the gift cards that I always request to make it happen.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

The drive yesterday wasn't too bad. Our cat started off a bit unhappy but got used to it. Actually fell asleep.

We let her run lose in the car we feel it makes her happier being free and I think we were right.

Weather on the other hand has been crap. High winds and rain.

Hopefully tomorrow is nicer for our outings.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

S9 mini review after 5 weeks of use.

Hardware is superb. Camera is above average. Ergonomics are excellent. One minor con is the Bixby button but I disabled it from the get go and have managed not to accidentally press it. Speakers are great, Google needs to learn this from Apple and Samsung. We may then get smaller devices from Google. Edge functions are useful and I use them quite a bit. Battery life is surprisingly decent. I can eke out 4.5 hours SOT on 16+ hour days. Let's see how it does on the hike today.

My recent Samsung history.
S7 lasted 6 weeks. S7e lasted 2 months. S8 lasted 6 months. S9 should hopefully last till S10 comes out? The reason I mentioned the history is that I am now familiar enough with Samsung software that it doesn't bother me one bit. I am running this device 100% stock. The UI look and feel is fairly consistent between S7 to now. And I am liking the One UI interface from what I am seeing. I am on the Dec 2018 security update already. So yes no Android Pie yet but I do get regular updates. It has great band support and signal is better. I think the average person doesn't care if they get the next Android version 6 months after Google releases it.

All in all this is a better bet now at $520 from Samsung.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So I just picked up the iPad. Trying to return anything before Christmas is and will be hectic in store and by mail since tomorrow's Saturday and Monday is the next weekday before the holiday. I'm going to try it out in the meanwhile and return it after the holiday.

If I see it as something that I can use and possibly enjoy, I'll get it again to keep.

Edit: Or at least that's the plan. Can't get myself to remove the wrapping on the actual iPad.
