Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Damn I'm tired. Too much driving.

Not sure about the house yet that we looked at yesterday. They seemed nice enough and we fit their profile of good tenants, I think.

The lady is from Montreal Quebec and their two sons are currently studying there. I think they're possibly moving there permanently but I think they're sussing it out first.

So if we get the place it's for at least a year which is fine as my contract might not go past that.

So we'll see what happens.

For some reason I couldn't sleep well last night. So I was testing data speeds on the S9. One thing I noticed with this TMO version device is that it gets some really crazy download speeds compared to my Pixel devices.

Now I just need to get Android Pie on this phone.

Occasionally, I look at the S9 and wonder if I should try one. Fortunately, I don't wonder that much.

Just like that, I'm down to the G7+, HTC 10 and 950XL. The next step is to get the HTC 10 fully repaired.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So this is why I'm a stickler for good customer service.

I was in While Foods just now and I bought some chuck meat. Normally I just get the pre ground stuff but until I get my own grinder, I'm deciding to have it freshly ground so I can see (for various reasons). The guy (who is brown) in the meat dept gives attitude because he doesn't want to do the extra work. "It's the same thing," he mentions to his coworker. (note that there was a price difference between the ground beef and the chuck). The window wasn't busy, and it took him maybe another 3 minutes total to process my order. And he gives me this "why did you make me do this extra work?" look at the end.

Because I was in a rush, I let it slide...Otherwise, I'd have asked for the supervisor and blasted him for it. It was terrible customer service, filled with a ton of micro aggressions that were unnecessary. Had he addressed me directly with his concerns, I'd have answered him with the same level of respect I gave him initially - especially since I bought MORE than what I planned to purchase to meet the requirements he mentioned to have the meat ground in the first place.

See, this is the issue we have in 'Murica, especially amongst some of our young people. A big part of being professional is often going **** you don't like, especially when you don't feel up to doing it. You're often not paid to do what you like. But there are ways to work around this.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Updated one of my friends on my recent news and she said some wise things that I want to remember. It's been interesting to hear how each friend has responded so far, aside from the "I'm sorry" (which I appreciate too). Different people bring different nuggets of wisdom and other things...

Fingers crossed!

I almost forgot to ask, how was this place you wanted to go to? If that isn't done yet, ignore that question for now.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Decided to get a Shield TV today. I've been after one since it was launched.

Customer service is pretty shocking in other countries as well. I've had horrible experiences in pretty much every country I've lived in. I've also had wonderful experiences as well.

Probably the worst for me in recent times was in the UK at a clothing store. I was going to purchase several hundred pounds worth of clothes and just needed a little help. There were about six staff in the shop, all hanging out at the register everything for one who was new I think because they actually seemed to want to help but didn't know anything.

The shop wasn't busy either. Even though I found things I liked I left without buying anything. The shop closed down about a year later. It was a chain which I refused to buy from in other places.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I should point out that I did go into other stores they had only to leave without buying anything. Their lack of customer service seemed to be endemic.
