WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I haven't used a narrow phone so can't comment. But I swipe to type as well. Just wish I was better at it.
It's one of those things that I do miss about using a physical keyboard, but that's a different argument.

I guess I just don't have the patience for learning how to swipe.

Like Laura, I only swipe. I can't imagine not swiping since I only use phones with one hand. I hate phones that I need two hands to use, so I try to avoid them. I have long fingers so that helps usually but with these tall phones, reaching the top is hard. I had to use reachability on the Xr. Even with the Pixel 2, I had to use another hand to reach the top.

There's nothing more satisfying for me than going two handed on a PKB. You know your typing game was good when you'd fly on a PKB silently when you don't want people to know you are on your phone. Outside of that, on-screen keyboards are a chore. I make more mistakes on a screen keyboard.

I believe it. With the PKB, I always have this visual of intense, focused typing for the person using it. I think it's really cool to see in action though.

It's a cold sunny day here. I was going to take a picture of the building I work at but I'm on the wrong side of the road so it wouldn't fit. Yeah it's a big place. I can't say for certain if this place is bigger or similar size to the last place. Different configurations.

It has two restaurants, two cafes, parking and a concierge service which is a new one.

Once it gets lighter in the morning or if it's nice out at lunch I'll try to get a picture on both sides.

Radio performance seems better on the G7+. Looks like I got better settings now.

It was shoveling time for me today, first snow this year, thankfully it started after rush hour so there were no big problems on the road :)

Mr. Clue to tell you how fun it is to be on a PKB, spitting fire via emails and being productive. I used to write draft blog posts on PKBs. A fun time indeed.

Sho you right!
The only virtual keyboard I like is from Blackberry. My favorite screen device all time to type on:

I use to fly on this. Not Bold 9000/9700/9600 fly, but pretty close. Piezoelectric whole screen rocking and rolling on springs goodness. The springs were located on all four corners of the display to reduce the wobble of the 9500.

I kinda still miss this. I'd get one and travel abroad with it any day of the week.

Favorite PKBs:

1) Bold 9700
2) Tour 9600 (underrated)
3) Nokia E63 (criminally underrated)
4) Nokia E71 (a bit cramped in comparison to the E63 for me)

Honorable mentions:

1) Pearl 8100
2) Curve 8900
3) Nokia E72

I tried out the Bold 9000 (which for me is tied with the 9700), but since I wanted something smaller, I went with the 9700. I saw the Q10 and that was cool, never got to use a Passport. The 9800 Torch was OK, the Priv was much better. The KeyOne was OK, the Key2 isn't bad (still too narrow). Still think the 9550 was so fun to use. My favorites are the 9700 and the 9550.

Passport was so nice because of the real estate but inputting numbers and characters could be thumb twisters. The 9700 was too cramped for me as was - is - my 9810. The goat was the 9900 hands down.

I think I had gotten too deep into WP to try the 9900. Kinda wish I did. Yes, the 9700 was a little cramped, but still felt wider than the Key series.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So, WP is officially out to pasture.

Pretty sad, really.

Still have my 950XL and accessories. Official collector status.

WP devices I've used:

Samsung Focus S, HTC Titan, HTC Mozart, HTC 8S, HTC 8X, Lumia 720, HTC HD7, Lumia 1520, Lumia 930, Lumia 810, Lumia 920, Microsoft 950XL. All I thoroughly enjoyed.

My favorites will always be the Samsung Focus S, HTC 8X, Lumia 925 and HTC Mozart in that order. The 8X and 925 on 8.0 was my favorite version of the OS.

I updated my apps recently and will do so again. I'll do a local back up and take the battery out. I'll miss it for sure, but unfortunately the market forces have spoken.

I had the BlackBerry 9000 followed by the 9700 and liked both. It took a while for me to adjust to the smaller device and the trackpad. I never tried the 9900, since I switched to Windows Phone.
