WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I'll let you guys know what I think of the S10e tonight but I think I don't want the Buds if I decide to keep it.

Phone calls are the main thing I would really like the Buds for. I have the certificate option so I could choose something else.

Here is a slightly better "review".

I got mine free with my S10+ but haven't bothered to use them.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Thank you! Reading that one ensures that it is okay but not for the mic.

Have you not used them because of lack of interest?

Yup, I am not that interested. I already have quite a few BT headphones but rarely use them.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Currently procrastinating so I will ramble.

So the S10E is arriving for me and I have mixed feelings. On one hand, the size will be really nice to have.

On the other, the front camera quality is possibly too much. I played with the s9 and I got to see what all of these people meant with the beauty mode.

I think I will try the camera without setting up and see how that looks before deciding anything else. We'll see.

Okay, I tested the front camera and beauty mode is alive and well. However, there's a setting to turn it off and turning it off, it actually looks like it is turned off so this can work for me.

As for first impressions, that's coming up shortly.

Edit: So I'll just add them here:

Early impressions:
-the size is great. I thought that the X was, this is even better.
-ditto what I said about camera testing
-I notice the punch hole. I just do. It seems like an eye lol
-I'm glad I went with the pink. it kinda reminds me of the coral xr color but more vivid (maybe because it's glass).
-I wish to move my sim to it, since One UI seems to be a great match with this size of phone and I like it. I just need to find dark mode.
-I like the Samsung touch of the wallpaper matching the color of the phone.

Good luck with it.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Thank you! I am even switching carriers as well so I'm really going in the deep end here lol.

Because we'll see how battery life holds up, I am still keeping the X.
You went in deep, I see. Good luck.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I'm still sorting out my devices like Libra. I've dropped the SIM into the 950 XL to use it for tomorrow.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I got a LG G6 today. What a nice device. I can see why tons of people are going to like the S10e. About the same size as the G6 with better all around hardware.

BTW the G6 is a trade in device for the S10e - that is as and when Samsung releases the hold on my order.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So I haven't got much to say about all the mobile talk. I was never that much into mobile modding and I'm not really interested in old phones. I've always kept my phones for about two years so I don't change that often.

I just really want a decent camera and good battery life. A WP keyboard would be nice...

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

In other news for me. We're still sorting our place out after the move. It's one of those places that you wished you owned so you could make it nicer. But we don't want to spend any more than we have to.

I'm currently looking for a car but probably won't buy until April.

Lastly, I found a set of scales in the house and I weighed myself. Going by my last known weight in the UK to now (that's how long ago I weighed myself) I've lost about 17kg (37lbs).

I've possibly put on about 2-3kg (4-6lbs) since I started working again at a desk. So I need to watch what I'm eating. Just been a bit stressed and I know my over eating derives from that. So yes I was lower in weight than now. I was close to my ideal weight.

Desk jobs are deadly things.

Link isn't working...
Not sure if my phone is acting up or what but it's working now.

Good article. I'm not a football fan personally but I know that black players have had racism directed at them for decades. Even from opposing teams.

Stereotyping in media... Who knew... /Sarcasm

The UK rags are pretty vicious if you didn't know.

Racism is a big issue in Europe in general. Has been for some time. Been sort of repressed but has been let loose due to the rise of the right and the politically incorrect crowd.

The UK has become quite hostile to 'outsiders' in general. You won't hear it much in the media though. Barely a peep.

Sadly France is no bastion of acceptance either. Not even in Paris.

Those thinking Canada is good I can tell you that there's a lot that doesn't get out in the media. I haven't kept up with Canadian politics or mood in general but I wouldn't be surprised of a political change in the wrong direction.

We're in crap times. The world is a mess.

Livin’ la vida fruta . I’m at a crossroads of sorts with smartwatches and iPhones. My Fitbit Ionic is my personal favorite mostly because of the one stop shopping with the app - but it doesn’t take phone calls or answer texts. It also doesn’t support my Qardio blood pressure monitor. The Gear S3 does everything but has no mobile payment available with the Frooty Pebbles phone. Lastly, the Apple Watch kills notification sounds on the phone and is a c*********k with the apps needed. Why there isn’t a single do-all app like Fitbit is beyond me.

Ugh this sounds frustrating to deal with. I'm with you, I don't get why it seems hard for one wearable to do it all, but imo, it doesn't sound like you are asking for much here. At least so much that it can't be done anyway, that is.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Ooh that should be interesting!
It was refreshing (a break from Android and iOS is always welcomed) and sad (always had a soft spot for WP) and annoying (SD810 killed a ton of phones that year) at the same time.

Battery life was the same on the XL as my G7+. Heh, not a good look, LG.
