WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I call it a side bag but I believe the proper name is messenger bag.

They come in various sizes. I have a small one.

I may look in Paris when I'm there just to see what's available. Don't need anything too fancy or large.
What I have is officially called a sling bag. I want to get back to the side bag/messenger bag. I'm looking at some offerings by Timbuk2.

The naming of men's bags is confusing...

I think I'm going to have difficulty anyway. I prefer canvas but I don't want anything too big. My main thing is I want it to have some structure to it and ease of use. I find canvas are typically floppy by design. I don't want leather as they look too formal and flashy.

Basically just need room for the battery pack and cords, small headphones and keys.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

When I'm travelling or play tourist, I'll have two bags.
One would be a midsize backpack that's big enough for two bottles of water, clothes, DSLR and whatnot, and a surface. It would weigh a bit, but I'll be carry stuff for the missus cos she can't carry any heavy load.
I'll wear a waist pouch too - for wallet, travel docs, the phone etc..
We have book a trip to Ho Chi Min for October.. Should be fun to travel again..

As I tend to do a lot of walking I prefer to keep things small when out. Especially in cities as I simply don't trust anyone. I have a nice carry case and a backpack for my DSLR camera when we take it with us but lately haven't bothered. As we take short trips it sometimes isn't worth the hassle and extra cost.

If I drive somewhere I'm more likely to take it with us. Though we're due for an upgrade for the DSLR. Not sure what to get though.

I'm in the same situation...My current DSLR system is based around an ancient Nikon D40 (with a couple of zoom lens). My preference would be to replace it with a simple superzoom hybrid thats easy to lug around.

Gonna go see if the demo for the Xperia 1 is in stores. Guess I'm going to lust after the XZ3, really.

This is the style of my current work bag. Just want to go back to the old style so I could free this up for other trips.

I saw neither. Just the X 10 and the XZ2. Lol. I like the look and feel of the G8, I'm just not impressed by it. Saw a 9 Pureview and was turned off by the screen. It's not what I remember. Oh well.

So I'm standing on one of the old school platforms in Penn Station, you know those ones where it's so hot that you want it peep your skin off to cool down. Yup, tax dollars hard at work. Lol.

I definitely wouldn't enjoy those. It sounds like Penn Station hasn't been renovated in a very long time.

I still like that wider in hand feel like I get with the V35 that I got with the 9 Pureview. Everything else just seemed so off though. I'd like a dual SIM version, but not at the price they are asking for.

Actually, they are in the midst of doing some serious work. They have expanded the subway entrances to the 7th Ave (1,2,3) and the 8th Ave (A, C, E) lines. It looks more specious and is less of a cluster**** bottleneck, especially during rush hour with people pouring off the subways to connect to both NJ Transit and the LIRR. Also, there is better LIRR access near the 8th Ave subway lines expansion too.

Where I'm ******** about is when you get to the actual platforms for the subway lines. They are still reptilian in handing temperatures - a sauna in the summer, older than they should be in the winter.

Yay power outage thanks to the storm. Had one 2 hours ago, it came back on and now it's out again.

Couldn't even finish looking at my sources.

Had a dream that I switched to T-Mobile. This is the first time I have ever dreamed of that. Dreams can be so random

I don't miss the days of dealing with power outages consistently as a child. It's get "country dark" where I grew up...which was still brighter than the true "country dark" I'd see when spending summers by my grand aunt. You know that kinda darkness when you shine a flashlight into it you only see 2 feet in front of you.

That bring back memories of my years working in a cocoa plantation.... It's odd the grid, we operated our own generators. We'll have only power between 4 to 7 in the morning, then 6 to 10 at night... Then everything is pitch black darkness. I do miss star gazing at night when the sky is clear...
.... wont mentioned the mosquitos
