WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So I'm currently waiting for my car.

Had to get the breaks done.

They told me 6pm. I am a touch early but I'd thought they'd be done.

Oh well.
I did the brakes on both my cars with the help from my friend a few months ago.

If you're curious, I know Laura, Sahib and myself are in there. I look the same, just older and with more stress. Lol.
Thank you, I was curious so I looked. I remember your beard thread.

Note, if you're going to be slick, be a better kind of slick. I sense an interesting story coming with my HTC 10 repair, as it's still in the shop.

Most of us been in WC for awhile.. when wphones was fresh and exciting and innovative... the good old days... it's twilight days now

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

When I started in WCentral, this thread was something to read rather than participate. Used to rake up my post counts on simpler threads like the Banning thread or three words or last alphabet etc
Crazier timez

I wonder who has been around since the days of WMExperts. I was frequenting CrackBerry back then, since I was a BlackBerry enthusiast.

The next site I joined was Android Central, since I thought of moving from BlackBerry to Android at the time. However, I ended up with Windows Phone in between BlackBerry and Android. I wish Windows Phone would have lasted and succeeded, but when apps either never arrived or began to disappear, I switched to Android and stayed there. I've used Android the longest of any mobile OS at this point in time.

Side note: before using any of the Mobile Nations sites, I was a Nokia Symbian user.

Laura legitimately tired every OS under the sun and told no one about it... Lol.

LOL. I've never used webOS or OG Windows Mobile. My experience with iOS is only from using devices belonging to family and friends.

Since you mentioned Blackberry, there was an interesting conversation/rant at work today. A coworker said that new smartphones from Apple are a swindle. All they do is change the camera and price it higher. Nothing really changes.

Then he mentioned that Blackberry is dead and they don't make them anymore. I was silent because he was full into rant mode about pricing and other coworkers were agreeing. At a point, I said that I plead the fifth because only one of my coworkers knows that I follow tech. Same coworker (the one ranting) also said that Huawei makes good phones that are much cheaper. I agreed with him but said that we can't have them here because of 45.

I really wanted to say that Blackberry still makes phones but I didn't.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

My first post here in this thread was summer 2013. Heh.

Wow! Sounds like a lot of life happened in that timeframe. I appeared when you were here but took a break for a bit for that Masters. I don't know if it was the final break though, it might have been.

That's funny, but I can understand why he might feel that way, since most carrier stores and BestBuy don't have any in stock. At this point, BlackBerry devices are mid-range Android devices sold at premium prices, due to the additional BlackBerry software and security features, plus physical keyboards.
