Mate 20 pro shots of the new lighting. Living room light is off, main tank lighting is off, and it's dusk here. Just auto mode, nothing fancy. Will post V35 shots too.So more pet updates. I ordered a new set of lights for the fish. Since the vacation, they hate the overhead white light, so hopefully these side ones will help restore their sleep cycle and reduce stress. There are 5 now - all glofish but two different variants. Blue, purple, yellow, orange and green are their colors. I wanted to do live plants but the tank is too small and we are both too busy to monitor those daily. So I put back the coral deco in there and they have to make due with that for now.
Need to retire the buckets for water changes too. Too stressful for me and the fish, although I think they kinda like the new clean smell. There's a vacuum system that hooks up to a sink I want to get before some of the upgrades below. I'll get that in a few weeks.
I'll see how they adjust and then will go up to a 20 gal high tank with two snails in there to keep the bottom clean. I'd like to shift in the new tank to driftwood, sand substrate and live plants to give them a more rich and natural ecosystem. I'd still like to keep the 10 gal active with two slightly larger fish. The issue now is there's no one to feed them when we go away on extended trips. The GF keeps ducking the answer to that question.
Sigh. Damn money pits. Lol.

I'm not going to say that she wanted the fish initially and now I do most of the work...These fish sound like they are very well maintained by y'all.
I think that if you account for photographer errors, it shows that in tough conditions like these, the differences between the cameras are slight...and in some ways boil down rk personal preference. Thanks for sharing this, it's really interesting to see the slight differences.
Ahh that sounds tough.I'm not going to say that she wanted the fish initially and now I do most of the work...
...but that's exactly what has happened...
If you ever decide to be a wife or in a long term relationship, you'll be pulling rank like this with regularly, so...Ahh that sounds tough.
Valid point. I believe this to be true, but I hope for a teamwork situation. If you ever decide to be a wife or in a long term relationship, you'll be pulling rank like this with regularly, so...
I just noticed, 319 to go.
I'll let the more seasoned people here comment on this one. All I'll say is everyone pulls rank on something all the time. Some people are aware and try to be considerate. Some are aware and pull rank on purpose. And some are unaware of both pulling rank and its effects.Valid point. I believe this to be true, but I hope for a teamwork situation.
