WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Hey Laura, let's annoy Rue for a few posts and talk some sports...

How do you feel about the Browns this year? I know there's a lot of hype surrounding them. I think they'll be good but not live up to the hype.
I agree with you. I think they'll disappoint anyone who thought they'd be Super Bowl contenders. I expect them to go 8-8.

Damn. 8-8? I had them more 10-6 at best, 9-7 likely. That AFC North will be brushing as the Ravens and Steelers will be tough...and the Bengals will be no pushover.

Extended review: the V40 has been really nice. It's familiar, having used the G7 and V35. It's a bigger, nicer G7. I can see why people liked the highlights and what ticked people off.

I would have still loved to try a V50 though...not necessarily for the 5G speeds, but for the bigger battery and more internal storage. LG is on this nice looking but functional track right now. If they were better with security patches and tweaks for the camera...but that's a pipe dream.

The plan is to unlock it via the carrier eventually. For the price I paid, this works.

We shall see. I hope that will be the case.
Meanwhile in Duvall County, we're starting a rookie who looked decent at home, with a recently acquired back up drafted in 2017. I didn't mind them signing Nick Foles, but rolled my eyes at how much $$$ they guaranteed for an injury prone dude who was likely to be injured again.

If we go 8-8, I'd give Doug Marrone one more year. I think this rookie may be very good at best or serviceable at worst. Lord knows we need a capable back up during Foles' contract.

Mark Brunell was criminally underrated during his playing days. Man, that '99 team was so, so good. I always wondered how well they'd do vs the greatest show on turf.

As much as I like the idea of Google finally adding a dark mode to their UI, I'm surprised they didn't add a true black option to take advantage properly of OLED screens...

Thanks for this latest information. That is very helpful to me, since I'm still interested in the V50, which will probably be my next phone. I'm waiting for the prices to drop, though. It's still too expensive now.

Yikes! Don't they take that into account that he's been so injury prone in the past?

I hope 8-8 or even 9-7 or 10-6 happens.

You're right about the '99 team and Brunell.

The shaving products arrived today. I was a bit apprehensive, since I read that there is a learning curve. However, I had no trouble at all. I got no nicks or cuts, and no razor burn. The shave was the smoothest I've ever had. I'm glad I went this route, since it will look and feel better, save money and help reduce excess plastic usage.

Sweet! I'm glad that you did it too, it sounds like it worked out well.

Also glad to hear this. It seems like the V series is the closest fit to what you need in a phone. 5G still sounds like a gimmick to me so I don't blame you on that not being a reason.

I'm of the same opinion as you regarding 5G. It's not something I would pay extra money for, when it's still in such early stages.

5G itself is not gimmicky it's the expectations that people are putting on it that are. It's a bit OTT.

5G sounds like a great thing until you start brushing up against limitations. Those limitations are the same for all wireless technologies. However, when you start hitting the speeds that 5G does those limitations start becoming very evident.

3G and 4G roll outs were limited for various reasons I can't see 5G roll out being any better, in fact I expect it to be worse. There are going to be so many places that simply won't have it due to the costs and limitations.

They outbidded themselves like idiots. But if this rookie plays well, we can still be in the mix for the division. Houston and Tennessee are the frontrunner as both us and Indy have question marks at QB. I think that just like the AFC North, 10-6 wins the division.
