Website is slow loading

I have a core I7 laptop running windows 8.1 and IE 11. The WPCentral site is one of the most useful sites, well done. But why is the webpage so slow to load? I don't have this problem with any other websites except for Engadget when I click on the "more comments" button on a page. But on WPCentral it takes several seconds longer to load a page than I would expect - especially using the Metro version of IE11. I sometimes get messages from IE telling me that a script is long running. Are there any plans to optimize the site with the upcoming name change?

PS I have tried running it with and without ad blocking doesn't seem to make a difference. Chrome loads the site just fine without the lag that IE11 has.

Clear your browser history and cache and try again. We've pushed a number of updates recently!
